The show, which took place at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, closed with Cody Rhodes facing Aleister Black in a brutal non-title main event that quickly spiraled into chaos.
Cody and Black delivered a hard-hitting encounter packed with suplexes, knee strikes, and submission holds. Just as the action reached its climax, McIntyre stormed the ring and dropped the referee with a devastating Claymore Kick, shouting in frustration. The match immediately ended in a no-contest, and the chaos only intensified from there.
Cody tried to retaliate, but Black blindsided him. Damian Priest then entered the fray, attacking both McIntyre and Black, as the melee spilled outside the ring. Even Zelina Vega was caught in the chaos, getting thrown into the timekeeper’s area by Priest. The entire ringside scene dissolved into disorder until Nick Aldis came out to restore control.
Without hesitation, Aldis made a decisive announcement: Drew McIntyre was officially suspended for his outburst. “Drew is suspended,” Aldis declared as SmackDown went off the air.
However, the real drama unfolded after the cameras stopped rolling. WWE released exclusive backstage footage showing a furious confrontation between McIntyre and Aldis. The clip captured McIntyre shouting and pointing at the SmackDown General Manager, as Bobby Roode intervened to prevent a physical altercation.
