Zoey Stark Reportedly Targeting Mid-2026 WWE Return – Zoey Stark is reportedly planning to make her in-ring return to WWE by mid-2026. According to a new report from Bodyslam, officials within the company remain “very high on her” and have discussed bringing her back as a babyface when she’s cleared to compete.
Stark suffered a significant knee injury in May 2025 during a RAW episode while attempting a high-risk move off the top rope in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. She later revealed that she had undergone surgery to repair her ACL, MCL, and meniscus.
In an August update shared with fans, Stark opened up about the challenges of her recovery, admitting the process has tested her both physically and mentally. “It’s been both mentally and physically exhausting and frustrating,” she said at the time. “And I’m in a spot right now with my knee where it’s not wanting to bend and give me the full range of motion that I am looking for. And as much as that sucks, it’s okay. I will push through this. I will find a way around it. I’ll get to where I need to get. But boy is it frustrating. But there’s always a silver lining and a dark cloud, right?”
Since joining WWE in 2021, Stark has built a strong reputation for her athleticism and intensity. She captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship once before being called up to the RAW roster during the 2023 WWE Draft. Following her main roster debut, she formed a brief alliance with Trish Stratus before later joining the Pure Fusion Collective alongside Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville. Both of her former stablemates have since been released from the company.
If her rehabilitation continues as expected, Stark could return in time to participate in the latter half of WWE’s 2026 calendar year — potentially aligning her comeback with major summer or fall storylines. Given the company’s optimism and her previous momentum before injury, a renewed babyface push seems likely when she steps back into the ring.
