Deonna Purrazzo Reacts to Her 2025 PWI Women’s 250 Ranking, Reflects on a Challenging Year – As noted, Pro Wrestling Illustrated recently unveiled its 2025 list of the top 250 female wrestlers in the world, naming Mercedes Moné as this year’s number one. Among the names featured was former TNA Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, who landed at number 99 on the list.
Purrazzo, who has ranked as high as number 12 in previous years and placed 34th in 2024, took to social media to share her reaction. Reflecting on a difficult year, she expressed gratitude for being recognized, emphasizing that her placement serves as a reminder that “consistency matters.”
“This year tested me in ways I never expected. At times, my career felt stalled & stale and I found myself wondering if there was still a place for me in all of this. Being ranked so surprisingly high by @OfficialPWI means the world — not for validation, but because it proves that consistency matters. Showing up, even when it’s hard, counts. Someone once told me, ‘Some years are for growing, and some are for building.’ This was a building year. Next year, I bloom.”
In PWI’s profile, Purrazzo was described as:
“Adept scientific wrestler won a series of Pure Rules matches in ROH against the likes of Rachael Ellering, Marti Belle, and Ashley Vox … Also competed for AEW, RevPro, REVOLVER, and Game Changer Wrestling … Enjoyed wins over Shazza McKenzie, Ava Lawless, and Taryn From Accounting.”
Purrazzo recently advanced in the ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament, defeating Trish Adora in her quarterfinal bout, which aired on last Thursday’s episode of ROH. She now prepares to face Queen Aminata in the semifinals and remains undefeated in Pure Rules competition, with a 7-0 record dating back to May.
Her most recent AEW appearance came on the February 26 episode of Dynamite, where she was defeated by Harley Cameron. Despite setbacks across promotions, Purrazzo’s continued presence and success in technical wrestling have reaffirmed her status as one of the most skilled performers in the division.
