John Cena Wins the Intercontinental Championship on WWE RAW – The November 10 episode of WWE RAW opened live from a sold-out TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, with Triple H addressing the crowd. The WWE Chief Content Officer spoke about the greatness of professional wrestling and declared that, in his view, John Cena is the greatest of all time. He then introduced Cena, who received a thunderous hometown ovation.

Cena thanked the WWE Universe and reflected on his upcoming retirement. He announced that his final in-ring performance will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. Cena said his farewell tour is about giving back and helping elevate the next generation. Before he could continue, Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio interrupted.

Mysterio boasted about being “the Mega Champion” and claimed he was the greatest Intercontinental Champion ever. He mocked Cena, calling him an old man who should “sit in the corner” and stay silent. Cena fired back, warning Dominik to choose his words wisely and reminding him that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Triple H then made an impromptu match official — John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.

Dominik attacked Cena before the bell, trying to take the early advantage. He dominated the opening minutes with strikes, suplexes, and his trademark arrogance, pausing frequently to taunt the Boston crowd. However, Cena weathered the storm and turned the tide after blocking a slingshot senton. He connected with his signature shoulder tackles, followed by the Blue Thunder Bomb and the Five Knuckle Shuffle.

When Mysterio attempted to counter the Attitude Adjustment, Cena sent him crashing into the turnbuckles. Seizing the moment, Cena hoisted Dominik up and delivered a thunderous Attitude Adjustment for the three-count to win the match and the Intercontinental Championship.

The crowd erupted as Cena celebrated his historic victory, finally capturing the one title that had eluded him throughout his legendary WWE career. Triple H returned to the ring to shake Cena’s hand and raise his arm as fireworks lit up the TD Garden.

For the first time ever, John Cena is the Intercontinental Champion — completing the Grand Slam in front of his hometown fans.
