9/3 AEW Dynamite Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of AEW Dynamite on September 3, from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Excalibur welcomes us to this week’s show, once again inside 2300 Arena in Philly.

Gabe Kidd Brawls With Darby Allin

As he runs down the action scheduled for today’s show, we hear Gabe Kidd talking off-camera. The camera shifts to show him walking down the aisle with a microphone in-hand asking where Darby Allin is. Allin appears and Kidd proceeds to beat him down.

Wheeler Yuta ends up in the mix as well, but Allin begins taking over. He hits a wild Coffin Drop to the floor, and then pulls out a special skateboard covered in tacks. He whacks them with it as fans chant his name. He waits for Kidd to get up after blasting Yuta.

Instead, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Marina Shafir of The Death Riders make their way out and surround the ring. Just as they do, however, the lights in the 2300 Arena go out. The Hook symbol flashes in the rafters and the new theme for “The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil” begins playing.

Hook emerges, but stops and turns around. He points to the entrance area, where we see Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs come out from The Opps, along with Willow Nightingale. They all brawl. Cameras catch up with Kidd beating down Allin backstage. “You think this is a game?!”

Gabe Kidd walks off and pulls out a hammer. He slams it down to show what he has. Before he can use it, however, Allin pops up and scrambles away. Kidd chases after him, but stops when he sees a truck. Allin emerges from the truck with a rag with something on it.

He proceeds to smother Kidd’s mouth until he fades. He puts him in a body bag that is chain-attached to the truck. He gets in the truck after zipping Kidd up in the bag and begins driving off with the bag dragging behind him. That’s how the eventful opener wraps up.

TBS Championship
Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Alex Windsor

We shoot inside the arena again after a quick video package, and out comes “Nine Belts Moné” herself, “The CEO” Mercedes Moné, for her scheduled TBS Championship defense. She settles in the ring and her music dies down. The theme for her challenger hits and out comes Alex Wiindsor.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. The two circle the mat before locking up, with Moné sending Windsor to the corner. The crowd chants “CEO” as the champ nearly gets caught in a Sharpshooter by Windsor.

Moné back up as she hits the ropes, but the challenger drops her with a back body drop to the mat. A chop sends the CEO to the corner, but she fights back with a hammer throw before Alex fights back with a couple hip tosses before sending the champ down for a near-fall.

Mercedes is back up and catches the challenger with a Statement Maker, but Windsor makes it to the ropes for a break. Windsor heads to the outside as Moné follows, but the fight leads to Windsor sending the champ to the floor with a cannonball senton off the apron.

She brings Moné back to the ring for a clothesline and a two count. The fight heads to the ropes as Windsor catches the champ with a Sharpshooter, but it’s through the ropes so the hold is illegal despite its damage done to Moné, who manages to break free before landing a powerbomb that sends the challenger to the floor.

On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into a quick mid-match commercial break as this title tilt continues. When the show returns, we see both women are in the ring with Windsor hitting the ropes to hit a shoulder tackle on the champion. Leg sweep by the challenger, but it’s only good for a two.

Windsor once again looking for a Sharpshooter, but settles for a Blue Thunder Bomb for another near-fall. A Sharpshooter finally cinched in fully as the CEO struggles to break free, managing to counter to a Statement Maker. Windsor looks for a cradle before rising to her feet, only for the champ to catch her with a crucifix pin for two.

Backstabber by Moné, but Windsor fights back with a spine-buster. We get a ten-minute notice from the ring announcer. From the mat, Windsor is able to cinch in the Sharpshooter once more, but Moné breaks free enough to roll out of the ring.

As she does, the hold remains locked in. The ref is making the count as Windsor looks to inflict as much damage as possible. She slides back in the ring, with the champ sliding in right around nine. Windsor charges at Moné, who turns her around.

She looks for her trademark Statement Maker, but Windsor powers up to her feet, before Moné counters with a DDT. Windsor fights back with another attack, leaving both women on the mat. They get back to their feet trading strikes, with Windsor getting the upper hand sending the champ to the mat.

Moné fights back for a Money Maker. Windsor manages to counter out, taking Mercedes down for a near-fall. The fight heads to the corner, where Moné manages to turn things around setting up for a Statement Maker in the middle of the ring.

Windsor crawls toward the ropes, but Mercedes rolls back to reset the position. The challenger nearly reaches the ropes again, but instead rolls Moné up for two. Mercedes resets her own positioning, clutching Windsor for the three count to retain the title.

Winner and STILL TBS Champion: Mercedes Moné

Riho Returns!

After the match, Mercedes refuses a handshake to flip off Windsor, before going for another Statement Maker. The attack is thwarted by the return of Riho, with the first-ever AEW Women’s World Champion landing a missile dropkick on Moné to force the TBS Champion to regroup on the entrance way.

Hook Confronts Samoa Joe & The Opps

Backstage we hear from The Opps, before HOOK interrupts to tell them not to fight his battles for him. Samoa Joe tries to clear the air about Hobbs replacing him in the trios title match, as well as saying they all have their battles to fight with the Death Riders. HOOK looks less than pleased about all this, storming off as we cut away.

Ricochet & The Gates Of Agony Issue A Challenge

The show heads to a commercial break after the Hook and The Opps segment. When the show returns, we see Ricochet and The Gates of Agony backstage for an interview. They challenge The Hurt Syndicate to a showdown at AEW All Out: Toronto.

Mark Briscoe Addresses TNT Championship

Mark Briscoe then makes his way to the ring. He says in 2025, his focus has been on the TNT Championship at a young man named Kyle Fletcher who currently carries the TNT Championship. He says in order to get a match, he has to have a conversation with Don Callis. He says Callis said that Mark had to beat one of his henchmen to get a TNT Championship shot and says he’s ready for whoever it is.

Don Callis makes his way to the ring along with Lance Archer and Rocky Romero. Callis says he has something to say, then says he’s a little busy getting Josh Fletcher and Alexander ready for their All Star Eight Man Tag Team Match later tonight. He says that Mark’s opponent will be Konosuke Takeshita this coming Saturday on “AEW Collision”, and Takeshita makes his way to the ring. He gets into the ring and stares down Mark, but Mark tells Takeshita that he’ll beat him on Saturday. He tells Callis that he’s ready to wrestle right now, and Romero squares up to Mark until Callis spots Archer and decides that he’s Mark’s opponent.

Mark Briscoe vs. Lance Archer

Mark fires off strikes on Archer, and the bell rings. He follows it up with an enzugiri that sends Archer crashing out of the ring, then looks to land a tope suicida on him. Archer intercepts Mark with a chokeslam and pins him back in the ring, but Mark kicks out. Romero distracts the referee as Archer tips the ring steps on their side and chokeslams Mark on top of them.

Back from the break, Mark sends Archer crashing out of the ring with a clothesline and flies through the middle rope to level Archer. He dumps Archer back in the ring, but Archer responds with a chokeslam to Mark. Mark flies off the middle rope and levels Archer with a missile dropkick, but Mark lands a Sunset Flip on Archer and goes for a pin. Archer kicks out, but Mark catches him with an elbow drop off the top rope for the win.

Winner: Mark Briscoe

“Timeless” Toni Storm Wants Competition

In a pre-taped video segment, “Timeless” Toni Storm addresses the fans of Philly, and her title reign surpassing a Forever Champion and a title collector. She tells the women of AEW to bring their best, their worst, and everything in between. God doesn’t judge, that’s Toni Storm’s job. We head to a break.

Backstage With Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander & Wheeler Yuta

Backstage, we hear from Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron. They talk about being undefeated and heated, before Cameron starts to call out Brodido–with Kris saying they should focus on the likes of Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford first.

This gets interrupted by the arrival of Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta, as Kris tells them that she got the message from their “friend.” Yuta senses the tension and decides to head out, as he’s wrestling next. With that said, off Yuta goes with Shafir.

AEW World Tag-Team Championship
Brodido (c) vs. Death Riders

Bandido and Yuta begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Castagnoli and King tag in and exchange chops with one another, but King levels Castagnoli with a rolling forearm and tags in Bandido. King sends Bandido crashing on top of Castagnoli, but Bandido sends Castagnoli crashing into the mat and flies off the top rope looking to level Castagnoli with a crossbody. Castagnoli catches Bandido and connects with a backbreaker on him before Yuta rains down right hands on him on the outside while Castagnoli distracts the referee.

Back from the break, Bandido looks to fly off the top rope. Castagnoli catches him, but Bandido connects with a Mexican Destroyer on him and tags in King. King stacks Yuta and Castagnoli on top of one another in the corner, then lands a cannonball on both of them and goes for a pin. Castagnoli kicks out.

Bandido delivers a Frog Splash to Castagnoli, but Castagnoli movies out of the way and tags in Yuta. Yuta charges at Bandido in the corner, but Bandido moves out of the way and tags in King. King drags Yuta up the ropes, then tags in Bandido. King delivers a superplex to Yuta, then Bandido sets up to charge at him. Shafir grabs Bandido’s ankle, and Jon Moxley sends King crashing into the ring post. Castagnoli assists Yuta in landing a Frog Splash on Bandido off the top ropes. Yuta then goes for a pin, but Bandido kicks out.

Castagnoli delivers The Swing to Bandido, and Yuta catches Bandido with a dropkick. Yuta pins Bandido, but King breaks the fall. Darby Allin appears at ringside and takes out Moxley, opening the door for Bandido to deliver the 21 Plex to Yuta for the win.

Winners (and still): Brody King and Bandido

After the match, we shoot backstage where Renee Paquette is standing by with the AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada. She asks about his beef with Konosuke Takeshita. Okada says he calls himself “The Alpha” when Okada is leader of the Don Callis Family…”B*tch!” We head to another break.

The Hurt Syndicate Accepts Ricochet & Gates Of Agony’s Challenge

When the show returns, Renee Paquette is backstage with The Hurt Syndicate. MVP does the talking as Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin stand on each side looking tough. MVP is asked about the challenge from earlier in the show.

The challenge was for a trios match, and it was issued to them by Ricochet and The Gates of Agony for AEW All Out: Toronto. MVP says Ricochet went from being a good wrestler to a hater, and he says he’ll happily lace his boots again to punch him in his b*tch made mouth.

FTR Attacks Adam Copeland

The theme for Adam Copeland hits and out comes “The Rated-R Superstar.” As he settles in the ring, he is ambushed from behind and attacked by FTR duo Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. They beat him down until the entire ROH locker room and others come out.

Harwood has blood from what appears to be a legitimate gash on his head. Copeland looks enraged as he is held back in the aisle. Harwood and Wheeler end up hitting a stuffed-piledriver to one of the ROH guys in the ring. That’s how this wild segment wraps up. We head to another break.

All Star 8-Man Tag
Hangman Page, Kenny Omega & JetSpeed vs. Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks

Page and Alexander begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Page runs the ropes, but Fletcher takes a cheap kick on him. Omega and Page then fires off alternating chops on Alexander’s chest and spine.

Back from the break, Nick Jackson tags in but “Speedball” Mike Bailey catches him with a dropkick off the middle ropes. Kevin Knight tags in and levels Nick with a clothesline. Omega and Fletcher then tag in, and Omega double teams on Fletcher in the corner with Page. Page delivers a German suplex to Fletcher, then sets up for the Buckshot Lariat-V Trigger combination with Omega. Alexander comes to Fletcher’s aid, opening the door for Fletcher to send Page crashing into the announce desk.

Bailey and Alexander tag in, and Bailey fires off rapid fire kicks on Alexander. He lands a kick on Alexander’s chest and delivers the 450 Splash Knees to him, but Alexander levels Bailey with a pair of German suplexes. Bailey looks to land a 450 Splash on Alexander on the apron, but Alexander rolls out of the way and drags Bailey up on top of one of the barricades. Knight flies off the top rope with a clotheslines to level Alexander on top of the barricades. Back in the ring, Nick and Fletcher deliver a Meltzer Driver on Knight and Nick hits a second one on Speedball with Matt Jackson on the outside.

Back from another break, Alexander tags in and prevents Bailey from tagging Omega in. Bailey breaks free and tags in Omega. Omega and Fletcher exchange right hands on the middle of the ring, but Omega lands Snap Dragon suplexes on Alexander and Fletcher.

Matt tags in, then immediately tags out to Nick. Page demands that Omega tags him in, and Omega does such. Nick and Matt begin brawling with Omega and Page, but Matt sends Omega crashing into the mat. Page runs over Nick, but Page looks to land a Buckshot Lariat on him. Matt moves out of the way and Nick sets up for a Buckshot Lariat of his own, but accidentally hits Matt. Omega then delivers a V Trigger to Matt, and the former Elite members continue brawling with one another.

Fletcher tags in and lands a Tombstone on Page. He goes for a pin, but Page kicks out. Fletcher lands a kick on Page’s chest, but Knight tags in and lands a dropkick on Fletcher.

Knight spikes Fletcher with a DDT, then ascends to the top rope and sets up for the UFO Splash. Fletcher gets his knees up, but Bailey catches Fletcher with a reverse hurricanrana off the top rope. The Bucks deliver the (formerly known as the) EVP Trigger to Bailey, and Fletcher spikes Knight with the Brainbuster for the win.

Winners: The Young Bucks and The Don Callis Family

After the match, Fletcher and Alexander beat down Omega and Page in the ring as The Bucks and JetSpeed brawl to the back. Rocky Romero and Lance Archer join Fletcher and Alexander in beating down Omega and Page in the ring, and Fletcher lands a Brainbuster on Page on top of a chair set up in the middle of the ring. Romero and Archer set up a table on the outside as Omega checks on Page. Fletcher holds Omega in place, but Omega fights back and beats down Alexander, Romero, and Archer.

Fletcher hits Omega with the chair in his midsection, then fires off Hammer and Anvil Elbows on his spine on the ring apron and lands a Brainbuster on Omega through the table. The Don Callis Family stand tall over Omega as medical officials check on Omega. They place a neck brace on him and bring out a backboard for Omega as the show goes off the air.

–– Here is what’s in store for the show ––

  • TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Alex Windsor
  • Hangman Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Kevin Knight & ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey vs. Josh Alexander, Kyle Fletcher, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson

9/3 AEW Dynamite Preview

Mercedes Moné will defend the TBS Championship against Alex Windsor in a singles showdown. Moné retained her title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on August 24 in a Four-Way Match against Windsor, STARDOM’s Bozilla, and CMLL’s Persephone. The bad blood between Moné and Windsor has only grown in recent weeks, with Moné mocking her challenger during last Wednesday’s championship celebration. Tonight, Windsor gets another shot to dethrone the champion.

In the main event, Kenny Omega and AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page reunite as tag partners for the first time since AEW All In 2023. The two will team with JetSpeed (Leon Slater & Mike Bailey) to battle The Young Bucks and Don Callis Family members Josh Alexander and TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher. Tensions have been building since Don Callis interrupted Page during his face-to-face with MJF last week, making it clear that his faction is coming for the AEW World Championship. The segment quickly erupted into an all-out brawl involving Page, Omega, JetSpeed, Alexander, and the rest of the Callis Family. Tonight’s eight-man tag match promises fireworks as the rivalries escalate.
