TNA Website Spoils Bound For Glory Knockouts Title Match – TNA Wrestling may have unintentionally revealed a major Knockouts Championship match planned for Bound For Glory during this week’s promotion for Impact.
Tonight’s live episode of Impact from The Armory in Minneapolis is set to feature a Triple Threat number one contender’s match with Indi Hartwell, Dani Luna, and Jody Threat. The winner is scheduled to earn a shot at the Knockouts Championship, currently held by Ash By Elegance.
However, a news post published on the official TNA website appeared to spoil the outcome ahead of time. The article, which has since been hidden, listed Indi Hartwell as the winner of the contender’s match, while also revealing that her title opportunity would come at Bound For Glory. The post even referenced her victories over former Knockouts Champions Tessa Blanchard and Tasha Steelz, framing her as a legitimate threat heading into the company’s biggest event of the year.
The same news item also spoiled another upcoming title match, announcing that Ash By Elegance will defend the Knockouts Championship against Masha Slamovich at Victory Road. The winner of that bout would then go on to face Hartwell at Bound For Glory.
The copy on TNA’s website read in part:
“Ever since Indi Hartwell arrived in TNA Wrestling this past April, she made it crystal clear that her goal is to become the Knockouts World Champion. A longtime fan of TNA, Hartwell wasted no time in climbing the ranks of the division, defeating former titleholders such as Tessa Blanchard and Tasha Steelz. Recently on iMPACT!, Hartwell triumphed over Dani Luna and Jody Threat in a Triple Threat match to earn a TNA Knockouts World Title opportunity at Bound For Glory. But who will Hartwell’s opponent be at the biggest event of the year? That question will be answered at Victory Road when Ash By Elegance and Masha Slamovich face off for the title.”
While the article has been pulled from the main site, the information spread quickly online, leading fans to believe that TNA may have spoiled not only tonight’s Impact results but also its Knockouts Championship plans heading into Bound For Glory.
TNA Bound For Glory is scheduled to take place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts on Sunday, October 12.
