8/26 NXT Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude.com’s coverage of WWE NXT for August 26, airing live from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Ricky Saints makes his way to the ring to start the show.

Ricky says that is why he wanted to kick off NXT the right way, the Ricky way.  Ricky says everyone saw what happened at Heatwave.  He says he will put his money behind Je’Von Evans, but ultimately, it was Oba Femi who proved he is the NXT Champion.  Ricky says he has been here for six months.  He says he has been North American champion, he has taken down monsters, and he has faced the best of the best.  Ricky says he wants what is in Oba’s possession.

There are a lot of talented people in the locker room, but why not now to achieve the impossible.  He says he is the one and he calls out Oba Femi.

Josh Briggs’ music plays and he tells Ricky not to get carried away because he isn’t getting Oba.  You have acted like you are a gift to this business.  He says he will give Ricky the rare Josh Briggs compllement.  He says Ricky is the real thing.  He says he is sick of dealing with the outsiders like you and Inamura getting shots that you don’t deserve.

Ricky says he should have stopped Josh when he interrupted his entrance.  There is no doubt how tough you are but there is no way he is standing in the back of the line.  You walk out here and look like Sid from Toy Story and you say that he needs to know his position.  Saints says he is the line.  You think you are right, but Ricky says he knows he is right.  He challenges Josh to a match.

Ava stops things before they throw any punches.  Ava says she has an announcement to make.  No one has heard from Je’Von Evans since Heatwave so she needs to find a new number one contender.  She says they have both made compelling cases.  You two will meet in the ring tonight and the winner faces Oba at No Mercy.

8/26 NXT Preview

After scoring a hard-fought win over Jordynne Grace at Heatwave, Blake Monroe steps back into the ring to face Kelani Jordan. Jordan came up short in last week’s triple threat match to determine the next challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship, and now looks to rebound against Monroe’s growing momentum.

Meanwhile, Lola Vice, the newly crowned Number One contender, will join forces with Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca and Speed Champion ZARIA in six-woman tag team action against Fatal Influence. The group includes Jacy Jayne, who lost the TNA Knockouts Championship on Sunday, along with Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx. With Vice’s title shot looming, this match could shift the balance in the women’s division.

In tag team competition, The Culling’s Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley will take on Wren Sinclair and a mystery partner. With Sinclair’s alliances unclear and The Culling’s reputation for chaos, this match could be a turning point for the tag division.

Also on the card, Lexis King has challenged Myles Borne to a Blindfold Match, promising unpredictability and mind games in a bout where instinct will be everything.
