Ricky Saints Secures NXT Title Shot at No Mercy – Ricky Saints has officially booked his spot at WWE NXT No Mercy, where he will challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship on September 27 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Saints punched his ticket to the title match after defeating Josh Briggs on the August 26 episode of NXT.
Following the victory, Saints was met face-to-face by the champion himself. Oba Femi wasted no time in sending a warning, declaring that he would make “Absolute” Ricky look “absolutely mediocre” when the two square off at No Mercy.
Their tense exchange was interrupted by DarkState, the menacing faction comprised of Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, Cutler James, and Dion Lennox. The group surrounded the ring, threatening to dismantle both Femi and Saints. Before the numbers game could fully take over, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger stormed the ring to even the odds. The former NXT Tag Team Champions stood tall alongside Femi and Saints, forcing DarkState to retreat.
This development hints at an unusual dynamic, as the champion and challenger briefly found themselves on the same side against a mutual threat. Whether this uneasy alliance will last or collapse before No Mercy remains to be seen.
In addition to the NXT Championship clash, it was also announced on the August 26 broadcast that Lola Vice will challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship at the event, adding another high-stakes title bout to the card.
With Oba Femi vs. Ricky Saints and Jacy Jayne vs. Lola Vice confirmed, No Mercy is shaping up to be one of the most intense events on the NXT calendar.
Here is the current card for WWE NXT No Mercy:
- NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Ricky Saints
- NXT Women’s Championship: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Lola Vice
- WWE Women’s Speed Championship: Sol Ruca (c) vs. TBA
