Jade Cargill and Alexa Bliss Advance in Queen of the Ring Tournament – The June 13 episode of WWE SmackDown featured two pivotal Queen of the Ring first-round matches, and by the end of the night, both Jade Cargill and Alexa Bliss advanced to the next round in contrasting fashion.
Jade Cargill triumphed in a hard-fought Fatal 4-Way against Michin, Nia Jax, and Piper Niven. Despite the odds and the presence of heavy-hitters like Jax and Niven, Cargill pulled off a surprise finish. After chaos broke out late in the bout, she managed to catch Niven off guard and delivered a Jaded to score the pin and secure her spot in the semifinals.
Later in the show, Alexa Bliss pulled off a crafty win in her Fatal 4-Way encounter with Charlotte Flair, Candice LeRae, and Alba Fyre. The closing moments of the match saw Charlotte Flair locking Fyre in a painful submission, looking to force a tapout. However, Bliss acted quickly, nailing LeRae with a lightning-fast Sister Abigail right next to Flair and stealing a three-count just moments before Fyre could tap out. Flair was livid as Bliss celebrated a narrow victory.
With these results, the Queen of the Ring semifinals are shaping up. On one side, Roxanne Perez will battle Jade Cargill in a marquee match between two of WWE’s rising stars. On the other side, Alexa Bliss will face the winner of the upcoming Fatal 4-Way between Asuka, Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez, and Ivy Nile.
As confirmed previously, the winners of the 2025 King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will earn respective title matches at WWE SummerSlam, scheduled for August.
