Chris Jericho to Return to WWE for Retirement Tour and Hall of Fame Induction? – Chris Jericho’s future in professional wrestling continues to be a major talking point, as new reports suggest the former Undisputed Champion may be preparing for a WWE return. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the internal belief within WWE is that Jericho will return to the company for a farewell run that will include a retirement tour and eventual Hall of Fame induction.

Jericho’s AEW contract is reportedly set to expire at the end of 2025, and while no official confirmation of his next move has been made, several recent developments have intensified speculation. The veteran recently announced his next “Rock ’N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea” cruise for November 2026, notably without any AEW talent listed among the initial guests. Although AEW names have been added in previous years after the first announcement, their current absence has led many to believe Jericho could be distancing himself from the promotion.

Adding fuel to the rumors, Jericho recently posted a clip of his 2012 WWE return on social media, prompting fans to speculate about a potential comeback.

While fan enthusiasm for a return was on full display during the Crown Jewel event in Perth, where the crowd sang Jericho’s iconic entrance theme “Judas,” WWE insiders reportedly downplayed the significance of the moment. “From those in WWE, they said the Perth crowd made no difference and that they are of the impression it won’t change creative plans and the idea is that Jericho is coming for a retirement tour and Hall of Fame induction,” the Observer report stated.

The Observer also noted that Jericho’s 2026 cruise currently lists no WWE talent, and it remains uncertain whether the company would allow its wrestlers to participate should Jericho rejoin the roster.

If confirmed, Jericho’s return would mark his first WWE appearance since 2018 and would close the book on one of wrestling’s most decorated and versatile careers.
