Unique Match Set to Determine Jacy Jayne’s Next Challenger on NXT – A new contender for Jacy Jayne will be decided next week on NXT following a tense in-ring segment that brought several members of the women’s division into direct conflict.
During the February 3 episode of NXT, Jayne was addressing her recent Royal Rumble appearance when she was interrupted by Zaria, who was still visibly upset over losing the Knockouts Tag Team Championship earlier in the night. Zaria immediately demanded a title opportunity, making it clear she felt she deserved the next shot.
Before Jayne could respond, Kendal Grey made her way out and staked her own claim to a future championship match. Moments later, Sol Ruca joined the scene as well, drawing clear frustration from Zaria as the situation escalated with multiple challengers arguing their case at once.
New interim NXT general manager Robert Stone then appeared to restore order and announce his first major decision in the role. Stone revealed that next week’s NXT will feature a tag team match designed to settle the issue. Sol Ruca will team with Zaria to face Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair. The stipulation is simple: whichever competitor scores the pinfall will earn a championship match against Jacy Jayne. That title bout is scheduled to take place in three weeks when NXT travels to Atlanta, Georgia.
Additional matches were also confirmed for next week’s show. Jaida Parker will return to singles competition when she faces Blake Monroe. Parker made her return to NXT television last month and immediately targeted Monroe, leading to a heated exchange last week. Their rivalry escalated further on Tuesday when the two were seen brawling outside the WWE Performance Center just before the show began.
Also announced, Vanity Project will go one-on-one with Hank & Tank in tag team action. In tournament competition, Josh Briggs is set to face Eli Knight in a Speed tournament match, adding further stakes to an already busy lineup.
With multiple rivalries converging and Robert Stone making his presence felt as interim general manager, next week’s NXT is shaping up to be a pivotal episode.
