Alexa Bliss in Action and More Announced for SmackDown – Alexa Bliss is officially set to return to singles competition on the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown. Bliss, who made a surprise comeback at the Royal Rumble, has seemingly been assigned to the blue brand following her lengthy absence.
Bliss last competed in WWE at the 2023 Royal Rumble before stepping away from television. Her return in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match marked her first appearance in over a year, and now she is set for her first one-on-one bout since then. WWE has confirmed that Bliss will face Candice LeRae in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match on the February 7th edition of SmackDown. Additionally, Bianca Belair will take on Piper Niven in another qualifier, with both matches determining spots in the upcoming Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
Beyond Bliss’ return, SmackDown is shaping up to be a major show. WrestleVotes has reported that a high-stakes triple threat main event will take place, featuring Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, and Jimmy Uso. Furthermore, additional men’s and women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying matches are expected to be part of the show’s lineup.
Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso, both of whom won their respective Royal Rumble matches, are also slated to appear. With their victories, they now have the opportunity to challenge any champion of their choosing at WrestleMania 41, making their decisions highly anticipated.
With Bliss back in action and key WrestleMania storylines taking shape, this week’s SmackDown is set to deliver an eventful night.
