A major security situation has unfolded after a missile attack in Riyadh left one person injured just nine days before WWE Crown Jewel 2026. On October 29, air defense systems intercepted two ballistic missiles over the Saudi capital, marking the latest military escalation in the region.
Journalists on the ground reported hearing at least eight explosions as defense systems engaged the incoming threats. Saudi Civil Defense initially issued emergency warnings for Riyadh, Al-Kharj, and Najran before confirming the immediate danger had passed. Authorities later verified that falling debris from the intercepted missiles caused minor injuries to one resident while damaging a home and a vehicle.
Crown Jewel Relocates To New Venue Days Before Scheduled Broadcast
The security incident occurred shortly after an official update from Riyadh Season confirming that Crown Jewel has been relocated from its originally advertised site to a different venue within Riyadh. Organizers confirmed that existing ticket holders will receive full refunds, with replacement tickets slated for re-release within 48 hours.
While reports identify Kingdom Arena as the expected replacement host site—moving the card into an enclosed facility—neither WWE nor Riyadh Season officials have publicly confirmed the building or formally attributed the venue transfer to ongoing security concerns.
Despite active military defense operations and confirmed damage in the capital, WWE has issued no announcement indicating that Crown Jewel will be postponed, canceled, or moved outside Saudi Arabia. The premium live event remains scheduled for Saturday, November 7.
