TNA Wrestling Lands New German Free-To-Air Television Deal With SPORT1

TNA Wrestling is expanding its international footprint after securing a new broadcasting deal with German television network SPORT1, making its weekly programming available on free-to-air TV starting Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

The weekly broadcasts will air every Tuesday at 10:15 p.m. local time, bringing over two decades of wrestling history and modern Knockouts and division action directly to German viewers.

Expert German Commentary Team Announced

To anchor the weekly broadcasts, SPORT1 has recruited experienced commentators Denis Pötzsch and Walandi Tsanti to provide German-language play-by-play and color commentary.

Both commentators bring extensive industry experience to the announce table:

  • Denis Pötzsch: Returns to the brand after previously calling action during the Impact Wrestling era.
  • Walandi Tsanti: Features ten years of experience behind the microphone as a former commentator for WWE SmackDown.

“Walandi and I are really looking forward to bringing TNA Wrestling to fans on SPORT1 as commentators. TNA is a fascinating wrestling brand with over 20 years of history, and at the same time, it’s an extremely modern, dynamic product. For me personally, it’s also a very special homecoming, since I had the opportunity to provide commentary for the shows back in the Impact days,” Pötzsch stated in the official release.

Executive Reaction To Strategic Expansion

Andreas Gerhardt, Chief Content & Distribution Officer at SPORT1, emphasized that adding TNA Wrestling aligns with the network’s strategy to expand its free-to-air sports portfolio.

“We’re expanding our sports lineup step by step, and TNA Wrestling fits perfectly into this strategy. The brand has a long tradition and is, at the same time, a modern, fast-paced product. This allows us to reach die-hard wrestling fans as well as people who are watching the sport on our channel for the first time. Starting in November, TNA will be on free-to-air TV on SPORT1,” Gerhardt noted.
