A Huge shakeup could be coming to WWE creative following WrestleMania 43, with plans in motion for Shawn Michaels to assume a top leadership role.
As noted, executive director Bruce Prichard is set to conclude his full-time oversight of creative writing and talent after the marquee event in 2027. While Prichard is expected to remain connected to the company through a remote advisory position based out of Texas, management has already earmarked his eventual successor.
NXT Leader Poised For Main Roster Expansion
Behind the scenes, WWE officials have lined up Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels to absorb Prichard’s daily operational responsibilities. Michaels has served as the senior vice president of talent development and creative since late 2021, transforming the company’s developmental division into a critically praised brand.
Given his close working relationship with Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, transitioning the 61-year-old legend into the higher-level post has been an internal topic of discussion for some time. Planning for the shift is expected to ramp up over the coming months, though leadership has yet to address who might take over day-to-day operations of the developmental brand if the promotion moves forward.
