The October 19 episode of WWE RAW on Netflix kicked off in grand fashion as World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns pulled up to the arena in a truck. Right behind him, Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn arrived in his own vehicle, setting the tone for a tense face-to-face encounter ahead of their Men’s Crown Jewel Championship match on November 7.
Zayn briefly acknowledged Reigns backstage before heading directly to the ring. “The Original Tribal Chief” joined him shortly after, telling Zayn it was good to see him before the two shared a hug. The two world champions initially bonded over the shared pressures of top-tier champion status, with Zayn admitting he finally understood what Reigns meant during his reign as Tribal Chief regarding the burden and disrespect that comes with carrying the company on your back.
Tensions Flare Over Titles And The Bloodline
However, the camaraderie quickly dissolved as the conversation turned toward history and loyalty. Reigns claimed that the most important title Zayn ever held was “Honorary Uce,” asking if Zayn was in the ring to talk about their championships or to serve The Bloodline regarding the ongoing threat of The 946.
Zayn responded by noting that while his time with The Bloodline was memorable, he is now the Head of the Table on SmackDown as Undisputed WWE Champion.
Reigns fired back by diminishing Zayn’s title, calling his World Heavyweight Championship THE title while labeling Zayn’s belt as merely A title. Tensions escalated when Reigns questioned the prestige of Zayn’s championship, suggesting the Undisputed WWE Championship hasn’t meant anything since he lost it at WrestleMania 40.
Roman Reigns Takes Shot At Sami Zayn’s Title Reign On WWE RAW
Zayn refused to let Reigns minimize his reign, warning the World Heavyweight Champion that he was acting as if Zayn weren’t a legitimate threat despite knowing firsthand what he is capable of.
Reigns closed the segment with a parting shot, stating that knowing Zayn’s track record, he might not even hold the Undisputed WWE Championship by the time they reach Crown Jewel on November 7 in Riyadh.
