LA Knight Calls Roman Reigns Title Match a "Do or Die" Moment for His Career

LA Knight is preparing for the biggest singles opportunity of his career, admitting that his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship clash against Roman Reigns at WWE Money in the Bank 2026 feels like a personal “do or die” scenario.

Saturday’s main event at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans marks the second one-on-one encounter between the two stars. Their first singles collision took place at WWE Crown Jewel 2023, where Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship following interference from The Bloodline.

Speaking with Metro ahead of the premium live event, Knight reflected on his four-year main-roster run as LA Knight and the explosive fan support that propelled him to the main-event scene three years ago. When asked what a defeat against “The Tribal Chief” would mean for his momentum, Knight offered a candid assessment of his career trajectory.

“That’s a hell of a question because if I don’t come out of this one with it, I really don’t know where there is for me to go. Kind of in a way, it looks like it’s do or die for me personally. Maybe other people have a different view of that. But I mean, at this point, we’re three years deep on this deal. I’ve been on main roster now as LA Knight for four years. Three years ago, things just went absolutely insane and built up to such a pitch that it’s insane that it’s been continued on for this long. But if I don’t reach that pinnacle at this point, I honestly don’t know what’s left or where there is to go.”

Knight’s comments arrive amid heightened speculation surrounding the main event, with former champion Seth Rollins recently warning on ESPN’s Get Up that Reigns is operating at an unprecedented level and could dominate Knight in short order.

Despite entering as a heavy betting underdog, “The Megastar” remains focused on capturing his first world title in WWE, recognizing that Saturday’s outcome could define his long-term ceiling on the main roster.
