AEW Announces Winter Is Coming 2026 From Arena Monterrey in Mexico

AEW is taking one of its marquee television traditions to international soil. The promotion has officially announced that Winter Is Coming 2026 will take place on Wednesday, December 9, live from Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.

In a departure from previous years, both AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision will be taped back-to-back under the Winter Is Coming banner at the venue, delivering a double broadcast to the Mexican audience.

AEW confirmed the date, venue, and ticketing schedule via social media following an initial reveal by broadcasting partners:

“As announced by @FOXSportsMX, AEW returns to Mexico this December! #AEWDynamite & #AEWCollision: Winter Is Coming takes over Arena Monterrey on Wednesday, December 9. Presales start Tue 10/13; tickets go on sale Fri 10/16 at 10am CST!”

Early promotional materials for the event feature prominent stars including Andrade El Idolo, Bandido, Persephone, Thunder Rosa, and The New Level’s Austin Creed and Kofi, signalling a strong focus on Hispanic and crossover talent for the Monterrey crowd.

The event marks AEW’s debut in Monterrey, following up on the commercial success of Grand Slam Mexico in Mexico City earlier in the year as part of Tony Khan’s strategy to establish a recurring presence in Latin America.

First established in 2020—a broadcast famously remembered for Sting’s surprise debut and Kenny Omega capturing the AEW World Championship—Winter Is Coming now anchors a busy year-end schedule. The December 9 event sits directly between Full Gear in Phoenix on November 14 and Worlds End in Minneapolis on December 19.
