Mason Rook Responds To Fan Criticism Regarding Physical Appearance

New WWE NXT signee Mason Rook has directly addressed social media criticism regarding his physical appearance following his recent television debut for the brand.

Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, the 29-year-old British wrestler acknowledged the online discussion surrounding his look. Rook explained that while his distinct size and visual presentation helped him stand out to scouts initially, he understands that long-term success in WWE requires continuous evolution:

“My size and my look and my uniqueness is what got me to the dance, but now I’m at the dance, I don’t know if that is gonna be enough to keep me at the dance, of course.”

Rook referenced other performers who underwent physical body transformations after arriving in the developmental system, noting that while every athlete’s journey differs, he remains open to making personal adjustments:

“I see superstars who arrived in NXT a certain way, or WWE should I say, they arrived here and then they’ve had a transition period. But again, everyone is different. Would I like to say I’d like to lose a few pounds? Of course. I’m not in denial about that. But again, my uniqueness and my style is what got me here, and I’d like to think it’s what’s gonna keep me here too.”
