Paige Takes Aim at Nikki Bella After WWE SmackDown Promo Cut

Paige Takes Aim at Nikki Bella After WWE SmackDown Promo Cut

Paige was originally scheduled to appear in a promo on the August 14 episode of WWE SmackDown, but the segment was removed from the live broadcast for unknown reasons. The most likely explanation is that the show ran short on time.

WWE later released the unaired footage on social media, giving fans a chance to see what Paige had planned to say. The promo was aimed directly at Nikki Bella and focused on Nikki’s recent comments about Paige’s career.

Paige accused Nikki of trying to rewrite history after claiming that she played a major role in revitalizing Paige’s career. She rejected that version of events and pointed to the years she spent working to make her return to WWE possible.

Paige Calls Out Nikki Bella

In the unaired promo, Paige reminded Nikki that she was not involved in the years of work that eventually allowed her to return to WWE.

“Nikki, since you decided to try and rewrite history last week, let’s set the record straight. You said that you single-handedly revitalized my career. Well, last time I checked, I don’t remember you being there by my side when I was working tirelessly every single day for eight years just to get back to WWE.”

Paige also addressed Nikki’s accusation that she was attempting to benefit from the Bella Twins by returning to WWE. According to Paige, that was not how the situation happened. She claimed Nikki was the person who contacted her and asked her to return and provide assistance.

“Did I come begging to be an honorary Bella for my big return after being gone for nearly a decade? No. You called me. You asked for my help.”

The former WWE Divas Champion then suggested that Nikki was unhappy because another woman had taken her position. Paige accused Nikki of using her support for Brie Bella as an excuse while actually being motivated by jealousy.

“You act like you’re doing this to support your sister, but really, you’re just jealous that someone else took your spot.”

Paige finished the promo by making it clear that she does not intend to leave WWE anytime soon. She also warned Nikki that she will have to deal with her going forward.

“Good luck keeping up, baby girl, because this is my house and I plan on being here for a very long time.”

The release of the footage came shortly after Paige publicly reacted to her segment being removed from the live broadcast. She initially responded on social media with a brief message.

“lol”

Nikki and Brie Bella responded by asking what Paige had said. Paige then used the exchange to criticize the decision to remove women’s segments from television and indicated that she expects to confront Nikki in person soon.

“You’d think you’d want women to have segments instead of being cut. You’ve always been full of shit. It’s alright, I’ll just see ya in person next week bb ❤️”

The exchange has added another layer to the ongoing tension between Paige and Nikki Bella. While the original promo did not air during the live broadcast, WWE’s decision to release the footage online allowed the confrontation to reach viewers anyway.

Paige’s comments also make it clear that the disagreement is centered on competing versions of what happened during her return to WWE. Nikki has presented herself as someone who helped Paige rebuild her career, while Paige strongly disputes that account.

With Paige indicating that she will see Nikki in person the following week, the situation could continue to develop on WWE programming.
