WWE SmackDown Results – July 31, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage results of WWE SmackDown on July 31, from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Finn Balor’s music hits and he walks to the ring. He says this time of year always brings him back to SummerSlam 2016. It was the best and worst night of his career. He won the title, but had to give it up the next day because of injury. Finn says he’s been chasing the feeling of that night ever since. He says they’re close to getting back to—

Sami Zayn’s music interrupts.

Sami says he has things to get off his chest. He says this match shouldn’t be happening. The main event should be Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and the man who was champion four weeks ago. Sami says they already have their marquee match. Who wins? Sami says he has skin in the game. He says he’d love to see Cody win again because he already beat Cody clean in the middle of the ring and he can do it again.

Sami says part of him wants CM Punk to retain. He calls Punk the biggest fraud, the biggest hypocrite, and the biggest piece of trash in the company. He says Punk has become corporate poster boy number two. Sami says he’d love to take the title from the man who stole it from him. He tells Finn he respects him.

Finn tells Sami to grow a pair and come say it to his face.

Sami walks to the ring. He says he respects Finn and everyone knows how great Finn is. He says Finn should have been champion four or five times, maybe two or three. But Finn needs to read the moment. Sami says this moment belongs to him. Finn had his time. Now it’s Sami’s time. Taking the title back is bigger than the championship. It’s about justice.

Finn asks what about justice for him. He says he’s been fighting for ten years to get back to his moment. He says this is his moment.

Sami says if it took Finn ten years, he should have taken the hint.

Finn fires back. He says it took ten years for him to get a taste of the title. He held it for one day and had to relinquish it because of injury. Sami held the title for nine days, not because he was hurt or screwed. He lost.

Sami says those sound like fighting words. If he didn’t respect Finn as much as he does, he’d drop him right now. Sami says he’s a good guy.

Sami says he’ll do the right thing and walk away. He tells Finn he’ll see him at SummerSlam.

Gunther blindsides Finn from behind and sends him crashing into Sami. Gunther wipes out both men with heavy clotheslines.

Gunther says everyone keeps talking about who the number‑one contender is, and it’s a joke. He says he is the rightful contender. He demands Adam Pearce come out. Gunther asks what he has to do to get what belongs to him. He even asks if he needs to beat Pearce’s ass.

Finn jumps Gunther from behind. Sami joins in and they both punch Gunther. Sami and Finn start throwing punches at each other until Gunther stops them again. He sends both men into the barricade.

Nick Aldis runs out and punches Gunther. They fight into the ring. Gunther tries a powerbomb, but Aldis counters into a Cloverleaf. Security rushes in to break it up.

Gunther breaks free and boots Aldis. Aldis is dragged to the back as Gunther stands tall.

Tiffany Stratton & Chelsea Green vs. B‑Fab & Michin

They lock up and B‑Fab grabs a front facelock. Tiffany knocks Michin off the apron and Green tags in. They hit a running knee to Michin’s back. Chelsea throws chops, but Michin blasts her with a thrust kick. B‑Fab tags in and covers for a two count.

B‑Fab whips Green into the corner and hits a spinning heel kick, then a sliding clothesline for another two. She sends Green into the turnbuckles and Michin tags in. Green throws punches, but Michin sends her down and covers for a two count. Michin steps over Green and applies a bow‑and‑arrow. Green counters into a lateral press for a quick two.

Michin stands and levels her with a clothesline. She gets another two count and kicks Green in the back as the match continues.

Green snaps off a snap mare and covers for a quick two. Michin kicks her down and B‑Fab tags in. B‑Fab fires kicks, then Michin tags back in to add another shot to Green. B‑Fab hits a slam for a near fall. She throws forearms, but Green lands a jawbreaker. B‑Fab blocks the tag attempt. Green finally creates space with an enzuigiri.

Tiffany and Michin tag in. Tiffany hits clotheslines and a back elbow. She dropkicks B‑Fab, then nails the cartwheel into the Alabama Slam. Tiffany climbs up and hits a swanton for a near fall. She throws a knee strike at Michin, but Jade yanks Tiffany into the ring post.

Green goes for the UnprettiHER, but Michin blasts her with a thrust kick. B‑Fab and Michin hit BTA for the three count.

Winners: B‑Fab and Michin

After the match, Charlotte Flair’s music hits. As she walks to the ring, Green and Tiffany jump B‑Fab and Michin. Flair enters and drops Jade with a forearm. Jade fires back, but Flair hits a thrust kick and a big boot. Jade rolls to the floor.

Frazer, Axiom & Rey Mysterio Backstage

Frazer, Axiom, and Rey stop Dominik and JD and ask why they’re even here. JD says they can do whatever they want and they’re looking for Danhausen. Dom adds that the Cruiserweight Title would look great on JD.

Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga Backstage

Tama and Talla talk about how leaving Solo was the right move. They say they lost focus on gold and it takes guts to walk away. Family matters.

The legendary Haku appears. He tells them not to forget who they are. He reminds Tama he’s the son of Haku and says it’s time to make the world hear them again.

Damian Priest & R‑Truth vs. Erik & Ivar — Title vs. Title Match

Priest and Erik trade punches right away. Priest sends Erik into the turnbuckles and keeps swinging. Truth tags in, hits punches, then a splash. Ivar distracts him, letting Erik take over. They stomp Truth on the floor. Priest tries a double DDT off the ring steps, but they catch him and send him into the barricade. Erik and Ivar throw both champions into the barrier again.

Ivar crushes Truth with elbows in the corner. Erik tags in and they hit forearms on Truth. Truth fights back, but Erik drops him with a forearm for a two count. Erik clamps on a front facelock. Truth tries to reach his corner, but Erik stops him. Ivar tags in and climbs the turnbuckles. Truth drops down, sending Erik over the top rope.

Priest tags in and unloads on Ivar. He hits a jumping shoulder tackle, then a jumping back elbow on Erik. Priest fires cyclone kicks at both men. He hits corner elbows and sends Erik to the floor. Priest follows with a jumping flatliner for a near fall. Ivar boots him in the corner. Erik tags in, but Priest sends Ivar down. Priest boxes Erik’s ears and hits a forearm.

Priest goes for the rebound clothesline, but Ivar cuts him off with a powerbomb. Priest collides with the referee, and the ref calls for the bell.

No Contest

The fight continues outside the ring and spills into the timekeeper’s area. They brawl into the crowd. Truth dives with a crossbody onto both Erik and Ivar.

Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga hit the scene and attack Erik and Ivar. Then they turn to Priest and Truth. Tama hits Cut Throat on Erik. Talla choke slams Priest.

Haku enters the ring and stands with his sons.

CM Punk and Trcik Williams

We get a look at what went down between Cody and Punk at last night’s house show.

Cathy Kelly is backstage with Punk. She asks him about the situation between him and Cody. Punk says it’s competition, plain and simple. He asks if they really need to be friends. He says he has to take on all challengers and he’ll still be champion when it’s over.

Trick Williams walks in and cuts off the interview. He tells Punk he’s coming for the title.

Punk says he wanted to face Trick because he wants new faces. He says when Trick climbs to the top of the mountain, he’ll “whoop that trick.”

Damian Priest and R‑Truth defend the WWE Tag Team Championship for the first time on television since retaining against Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga on the June 19 SmackDown. Tonight, they face the reigning AAA World Tag Team Champions, Ivar and Erik of The War Raiders. This is The War Raiders’ first SmackDown match since their July 17 win over Nathan Frazer and Axio. Priest and Truth look to keep their momentum, while Ivar and Erik aim to bring AAA’s dominance into WWE.

The final entrant for Sunday’s Interim Women’s Championship Five‑Way Ladder Match at SummerSlam will be decided tonight. Lash Legend meets Giulia in a qualifier. Tiffany Stratton, Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair, and Jade Cargill have already earned their spots. Tonight’s winner completes the field for the ladder match.

Undisputed Champion CM Punk meets Cody Rhodes ahead of their SummerSlam Saturday title match. Their rivalry has escalated across both brands, and tonight’s confrontation sets the tone for tomorrow’s showdown.

United States Champion Trick Williams appears with a message for Baron Corbin. Williams defends the title against Corbin at SummerSlam Sunday, and tonight he addresses his challenger before the match.
