AEW Dynamite Results – July 1, 2026

AEW Dynamite Results – July 1, 2026 – Welcome to Wrestling Attitude’s live coverage results for AEW Dynamite on July 1, live from the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California.

We are live as Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Nigel McGuinness welcome everyone before a video shows Renee Paquette catching up with Will Ospreay and Alex Windsor after Ospreay’s Owen Hart Cup win. Jon Moxley finds Ospreay and tells him that if he wants to be the real thing, he has to live it. He hands Ospreay a Death Riders patch and says he can ride with them any time. Kenny Omega arrives and says he’s still watching Ospreay. MJF walks up, Omega warns him he’s watching the AEW World Title, and MJF tells Ospreay he’ll see him at Wembley.

MJF vs. Mark Briscoe – AEW World Championship

Mark Briscoe heads to the ring, followed by MJF.

The bell rings and MJF spikes Briscoe with a piledriver right away. Briscoe kicks out, so MJF bites his head, rakes at him, and whips him into the corner spine‑first. He hits a back body drop. Briscoe fires back with a kick, a corner clothesline, a suplex, and a Death Valley Driver. Briscoe runs MJF over with a lariat and climbs, but MJF trips him. Briscoe still manages a Froggy Bow. He dumps MJF out and hits a dive. He sets up a chair and uses it as a launch pad for a Tope Con Hilo. Briscoe grabs a table, sends MJF into the steps, and sets the table up. MJF rolls off and sends Briscoe into the apron spine‑first, then hides the table.

After the break, MJF spits in Briscoe’s face and unloads punches. Briscoe clotheslines MJF out and exposes the concrete. MJF back body drops Briscoe on it. Briscoe answers with another DVD inside the ring. He hits a blockbuster off the barricade. Briscoe lays MJF on the table and hits a Froggy Bow off the top. MJF barely survives with a foot on the rope. MJF rakes the eye, but Briscoe hits an enzuigiri and another Froggy Bow, then a J‑Driller. MJF kicks out. MJF hits an Alabama Slam and finishes with the Heat Seeker.

Winner: MJF

After the match, MJF puts on the Dynamite Diamond Ring and blasts Briscoe. He calls himself the best wrestler in the world and goes for another shot, but Kenny Omega hits the ring and MJF bails. Omega says he told MJF he’d be here and wants a title match tonight. MJF refuses but agrees to defend against Omega next week—if MJF wins, Omega can never challenge for the AEW World Title again.

Tony Schiavone Interviews Andrade El Idolo

Tony introduces Andrade. Andrade says it’s time to become the new AEW World Champion. Kevin Knight, Jake Doyle, Brian Cage, and Lance Archer jump him. Cage hits a Drill Claw. Don Callis says Andrade needs to be removed because Knight has a TNT Title match to win.

Lio Rush arrives as Callis joins commentary.

Kevin Knight (c) vs. Lio Rush – TNT Championship

Knight pulls a blackened TNT belt out of Rush’s backpack. Rush rolls him up, Knight kicks out.

After the break, Knight hits a tilt‑a‑whirl backbreaker. Rush locks in a submission, but Doyle pulls Knight out. Rush dives, Doyle catches him, Rush sends Doyle into the post. Knight levels Rush, throws him inside, hits a top‑rope clothesline and a uranage.

Winner: Kevin Knight

Callis, Doyle, and Knight prepare to beat Rush down. Darby Allin’s music hits. Darby tells Knight he wants a TNT Title match and says if Knight refuses, Forbidden Door will keep happening. Knight agrees, but Callis grabs the mic and says Darby is a criminal and will never get a TNT Title shot as long as Callis is around. Darby says Knight has dug his own grave. “Speedball” Mike Bailey watches from the crowd.

Tommaso Ciampa & Chris Jericho Brawl Backstage

We head backstage where Ciampa corners Renee Paquette and demands she say he’s better than Jericho, just like Jericho forced Tony Schiavone to do on AEW Collision. Jericho blindsides Ciampa with a garbage can and the fight spills outside the arena. Security tries to break it up, but Ciampa grabs a shopping cart and nearly runs Jericho down, wiping out a guard in the process. Ciampa tries to go after Jericho’s eye, but security restrains him. Jericho then launches himself out of a production truck with a crossbody onto Ciampa. Security finally manages to pull them apart.

The Elite Backstage

Inside The Elite’s locker room, Omega tells The Young Bucks that next Wednesday he has to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship on his own.

Will Ospreay & Jon Moxley vs. Lee Johnson & Blake Christian

The bell rings and Johnson and Christian jump Ospreay and Moxley from behind. Ospreay tags in, but Christian drills him with a kick to the ribs and sends Johnson crashing to the floor. Ospreay launches over the top rope and wipes out both opponents, then drives a knee into Johnson’s throat before tagging Moxley.

Back from the break, Lethal trips Moxley as he hits the ropes. Shafir gets in Lethal’s face and suplexes him, giving Moxley the opening to turn Johnson inside out with a clothesline and tag Ospreay.

Ospreay unloads on Johnson and Christian with rapid strikes, whips Johnson into the corner, and he and Moxley hammer away with corner clotheslines. Moxley plants Johnson with a Paradigm Shift, and Ospreay finishes with the Hidden Blade for the three count.

Winners: Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley

Backstage: Christian Cage & Adam Copeland

Lexy Nair catches up with Cage and Copeland. Cage says he still doesn’t trust Jay White and walks off.

Jay White Speaks

Jay White says The Bang Bang Gang have waited 459 days to do this, then raises his guns alongside Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin, Juice Robinson, and the crowd. He says 459 days is a long time to be away from AEW and a lot can change, pointing to Will Ospreay joining The Death Riders.

White asks who let The Dogs out and says he goes way back with David Finlay. He recalls entering the New Japan Dojo with Finlay and says he’s never met anyone more naturally gifted. He calls Finlay a “nepo baby b**** boy” and says now they’re both in AEW, the stench of Finlay’s arrogance has lingered too long. White says no one clears the air better than him and no one has what he has.

Harley Cameron vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Kris Statlander vs. Persephone vs. Maika vs. Queen Aminata — Survival of the Fittest, TBS Championship

The bell rings and everyone starts swinging. Shida boots Cameron, but Statlander boots Shida right after. Aminata wipes out Statlander, Maika flattens Aminata, and Persephone barrels through Maika.

Shida rolls up Persephone, but she kicks out. Cameron low‑bridges Statlander over the top rope, then drills Maika with a running knee. Cameron and Persephone team up to take out Shida and Aminata, hitting corner clotheslines on both. Cameron rains down punches on Aminata while Persephone drives her boot into Shida. Persephone then yanks Cameron off the ropes and steals the fall to send Cameron packing.

Eliminated: Harley Cameron

Back from the break, Shida hits a vertical suplex on Maika. She lines up a knee, but Maika shuts her down and tries a bodyslam. Shida counters into an Ankle Lock, Maika escapes, and Shida reaches for her kendo stick. Statlander grabs it first, but Persephone pulls Statlander off the apron using the stick. Shida rolls up Maika and scores the elimination.

Eliminated: Maika

Shida and Aminata trade right hands. Aminata rolls her up, Shida kicks out, and Aminata climbs. Statlander and Persephone cut her off, but Shida knocks all three down from the ropes and apron. Persephone dives in and rolls up Aminata to send her out.

Eliminated: Queen Aminata

Back from another break, Statlander sits out Persephone. Persephone fires back with a Northern Lights suplex for two. They knock each other down. Shida tries to steal a pin on Persephone, but she kicks out. Shida tries Statlander next, but Statlander kicks out and hits a double back elbow off the middle rope on both opponents. Statlander plants Persephone with a Michinoku Driver for two. Persephone rolls her up, Statlander reverses, and Persephone is gone.

Eliminated: Persephone

Shida hits a Falcon Arrow on Statlander for two. Shida grabs the TBS Title from ringside and tries to use it, but Statlander kicks it out of her hands. They trade rollups until Shida grabs an Ankle Lock. Statlander fights, but Persephone blasts Statlander from the outside with the TBS Championship. Statlander is knocked out, and the referee calls it.

Eliminated: Kris Statlander

Winner and NEW TBS Champion: Hikaru Shida

Will Kenny Omega Accept MJF’s Condition?

Omega heads toward the ring, but Ospreay stops him and asks if he really thinks this is a good idea, especially when Ospreay wants to face him at All In for the AEW World Championship. Omega says he’s out of time and this could be his last chance at the AEW World Title. He says if he’s going out, he’s going out guns blazing. He hugs Ospreay and continues to the ring.

Omega says he’s been wrestling for almost 30 years and nothing has given him more passion or joy than giving everything he has to the fans. He says whether he was 14 or 42, the fans always got the same 100% version of him. He says he’s won titles, broken records that may never be touched again, and built a career he can be proud of. But he admits there’s a selfish part of him that knows it’s not enough, and he still feels like there’s something left in the tank. He asks the fans, Ospreay, and The Young Bucks if they can believe one more time that he can walk into All In as champion. He says if he fails, he’ll end up just like Cody Rhodes and Hangman Page.

Omega says if MJF wants him to put everything on the line, then fine — but MJF hasn’t considered one thing: Omega is still the same man people call The Best Bout Machine, The Cleaner, and The God of Professional Wrestling. Omega accepts MJF’s condition for next Wednesday’s AEW World Championship match at Dynamite Beach Break. He bids the fans adieu and tells them goodnight.

MJF blindsides Omega from behind and slides on the Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Omega tackles him and unloads punches. Security and referees rush in to separate them, but Omega breaks free and goes after MJF again. Security restrains Omega, then MJF breaks loose and charges at Omega. MJF retreats up the ramp and holds up the AEW World Championship while security keeps him back. Omega stands in the ring as the show goes off the air.
