Booker T Talks Oba Femi, Says He’s a Generational Talent

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has shared strong praise for Oba Femi, describing the reigning King of the Ring as a rare performer who can succeed at the highest level right now. His comments come as discussions continue about whether Femi’s rapid rise on the main roster has been too much too soon.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker addressed those concerns directly. While he admitted that he would usually question a push happening this quickly, his firsthand experience watching Femi develop in NXT gave him a different perspective.

“I got a chance to watch the growth of Oba Femi, and I got a chance to see Oba Femi in situations where the average person would have failed at least once, maybe twice,” Booker said. “But every time they put Oba in the situation, he went out there and he passed that test every single time. I’m talking about he just crushed it.”

Based on that consistency, Booker believes Femi stands out from most rising stars. He pointed to Femi’s mindset and ability to deliver under pressure as key reasons why he can handle a major role without needing a long buildup.

“This guy’s a generational talent. He could work across every era,” Booker said. “I feel like if anybody could be put in this situation right now and actually literally knock it out of the park, it’s Oba Femi. I really believe that. I think this guy could carry it just because of his mentality.”

Booker also discussed Femi’s versatility as a character. He made it clear that the young star can succeed regardless of alignment, though he expressed interest in seeing him take on a more villainous role.

“I think both sides work for Oba. If he’s a heel, it works. If he’s a babyface, it works,” he said. “I would love to see Oba as a heel.”

Despite the possibility of Femi stepping into a top championship position, Booker does not believe fans would react negatively, even if it came at the expense of a popular name like Sami Zayn. He emphasized that execution matters more than the outcome itself.

“I always say it’s not winning, it’s the way you win. It’s not losing, it’s the way you lose,” Booker said. “I think everybody could win in this situation.”

Booker’s comments highlight growing confidence in Femi’s potential, as The Ruler continues to establish himself as a key figure on WWE programming.
