Former WWE star John Morrison, now competing in CMLL as Johnny Consejo, had his head shaved after losing a high-stakes Lucha de Apuestas match against Ángel de Oro on Friday night.
The bout headlined CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular at the historic Arena México in Mexico City. The rivalry intensified quickly after a four-way match on February 20, where Consejo pinned de Oro. In a follow-up promo, de Oro stated he would not allow a “foreigner” to disrespect his country or the promotion, adding personal weight to the wager.
Speaking to Más Lucha ahead of the showdown, de Oro emphasized what was at stake. “I can’t lose. If I lose my hair, people will lose faith in me.”
The finish saw de Oro connect with a frog splash to score the decisive pinfall. After the match, Consejo initially resisted honoring the stipulation and refused to let the official cut his hair. De Oro responded with a superkick, which allowed the official to proceed. Consejo’s head was then fully shaved in the ring in front of the live crowd.
Consejo has been a regular presence in CMLL since late January 2026. He has frequently aligned with Mansoor and Mason Madden as part of the MxM Collection, known in Mexico as MxM TV. Despite his CMLL run, Morrison remains signed to AEW, where he performs as Johnny TV.
As part of the stipulation fallout, Consejo is scheduled to wrestle bald on Saturday at Arena Coliseo. He will face Ángel de Oro and Esfinge in a three-way main event as the feud continues.
