The AEW World Championship match at next month’s Revolution pay‑per‑view is now officially a Texas Death Match, despite MJF’s attempts to manipulate the stipulation during the February 25 episode of Dynamite. Hangman Page and MJF met in the ring to finalize the match terms, with Page’s own stipulation already set: if he loses, he will never challenge for the AEW World title again.
MJF tried to avoid the Texas Death Match by proposing a coin flip. If Page won, he’d get his stipulation. If MJF won, the match would become a one‑way no‑DQ bout where Page would be disqualified for using weapons while MJF could do anything he wanted. MJF flipped the coin, it landed on heads, and he immediately declared victory.
Page, however, asked to inspect the coin. MJF refused and attempted to leave, but JetSpeed and Brodido blocked his exit. Moments later, Tony Khan informed Tony Schiavone that the coin was rigged, meaning Page’s stipulation would stand. The AEW World Championship match at Revolution is now officially a Texas Death Match.
The episode also featured several developments for the Revolution card. After Brody King defeated Mark Davis, he called out Swerve Strickland for a fight at the pay‑per‑view, seeking another shot at the World title. Strickland, watching backstage with Prince Nana, didn’t seem interested and walked away from the monitor.
Later, Bandido announced he was looking for a fight as well. Andrade El Idolo’s music hit, and he appeared on stage with Don Callis. Bandido responded with his signature gun gesture, Andrade answered with his fist gesture, and the match was effectively made for Revolution.
The updated AEW Revolution lineup for Sunday, March 15 in Los Angeles includes:
- AEW World Champion MJF vs. Hangman Page in a Texas Death Match (Page can never challenge again if he loses)
- AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR vs. The Young Bucks
- AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita with no time limit
- Bandido vs. Andrade El Idolo
