Seth Rollins Offers Candid Update On WrestleMania 42 Return – Seth Rollins remains cautious about his return timeline, keeping fans guessing on whether he’ll be ready for WrestleMania 42. The former World Heavyweight Champion spoke with Men’s Health about his ongoing recovery from a torn rotator cuff sustained at WWE Crown Jewel in October 2025. The injury, which followed a brutal on-screen betrayal by The Vision on RAW, forced Rollins to relinquish his title and sidelined him for several months.
Asked directly if he would be back in time for WrestleMania, Rollins was candid:
“Don’t know. Don’t know the answer to that yet. The timeline for shoulder surgery and repair is, you know, four to six months or so. Did my rotator cuff back in October. I’m rehabbing, and as long as there’s no setbacks, I hope to be cleared by the time WrestleMania rolls around in April.”
Even if he is medically cleared, Rollins emphasized that the ultimate decision isn’t his to make:
“At the end of the day—that decision isn’t mine. I just can do the best I can day after day, get myself in a good position, and hope for the best.”
Rollins also addressed the skepticism he often faces whenever he suffers an injury, joking about the doubts fans sometimes express over the legitimacy of his setbacks:
“I guess you don’t [know]. I mean, you can call my doctor if you want. Otherwise, you’re just gonna have to take my word for it. But yeah, I mean, that’s on me. I’ve blown my credibility when it comes to my injuries, but, it pays the same, so I don’t really care.”
With WrestleMania 42 looming, Rollins’ return remains one of the biggest uncertainties on WWE’s road to its biggest stage of the year. Whether he’s cleared to compete or held out for safety, WWE is expected to have a major storyline ready for him whenever he steps back into the ring.
