Doubt Grows Within WWE Over Seth Rollins’ Legit Injury

Doubt Grows Within WWE Over Seth Rollins’ Legit Injury – Seth Rollins’ recent on-screen betrayal at the hands of his own faction, The Vision, was reportedly designed to cover up a legitimate injury he sustained in real life. According to reports, the brutal attack on the October 13 edition of RAW was WWE’s way of writing the World Heavyweight Champion off television following a shoulder injury he suffered during his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel: Perth.

However, there appears to be growing skepticism within WWE regarding the legitimacy of Rollins’ condition. Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer noted that some in the locker room are questioning whether the injury is genuine or another storyline twist. “They were told it was from an injury in the match with Cody Rhodes. But after being told his other injury was legit, many are not fully believing anything right now,” Meltzer reported.

The confusion stems from an earlier storyline this year in which WWE fabricated an injury to explain Rollins’ absence before his surprise return and Money in the Bank cash-in at SummerSlam. That angle was so well protected that even some within the company believed it was real. This has now created an atmosphere of mistrust, with Meltzer adding, “In the attempt to work everyone… the lack of trust right now is pretty high.”

The uncertainty surrounding Rollins’ actual health has thrown the World Heavyweight Championship picture into chaos. CM Punk is still recognized as the official number one contender, but with Rollins potentially sidelined, it’s unclear when or if that long-awaited title clash will happen.

The segment that wrote Rollins off TV was one of RAW’s most dramatic moments in recent months. After CM Punk won a number one contender’s match, Rollins and The Vision attacked him — only for Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to turn on Rollins in a shocking twist. The duo left Rollins laid out after Breakker’s spear and Reed’s devastating Tsunami splash. Paul Heyman then appeared, aligning himself with Breakker and Reed, effectively signaling the end of The Vision.

This storyline shift not only explains Rollins’ injury absence but also sets the stage for a major babyface return once he’s medically cleared to compete.
