GUNTHER Comments on Tonight’s WWE RAW Return – Tonight’s WWE RAW from Madison Square Garden promises to be one of the most historic episodes in recent memory, featuring the return of GUNTHER, John Cena’s final Raw appearance, and multiple high-stakes matches.
In a video posted earlier today, GUNTHER confirmed he is “back on duty to raise the quality in WWE” after taking time off to recover from surgery. He faces NXT’s Je’Von Evans in an opening-round match of the Last Time Is Now Tournament, which will determine Cena’s final opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
“The Ring General is back on duty to raise the quality in WWE,” GUNTHER stated. “I’ve had a bit of a break, fixed my nose and now I’m here in the beautiful Switzerland at the airport in Zurich, I’m about to head to New York City. There couldn’t be better timing to come back and participate in the tournament that will determine John Cena’s final opponent at the Madison Square Garden in one of my absolute favorite arenas. I’m looking forward to it, I’m back again”.
John Cena, the 17-time World Champion, will kick off the show in what is billed as his last-ever RAW appearance. With only two appearances left in his Hall of Fame career, Cena’s presence in New York City sets the stage for his farewell run before his final match in Washington, D.C. next month.
