Dominik Mysterio Credits The Judgment Day for His Rise in WWE – Dominik Mysterio’s journey in WWE has been one of the most dramatic transformations in recent years. From debuting as a smiling babyface alongside his legendary father Rey Mysterio to becoming one of the most despised heels in the company, Dominik has carved out a unique identity. In a recent interview on the Towers of Power podcast, he explained that his evolution was made possible by his association with The Judgment Day.
Dominik admitted that the turning point came when he began working closely with Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, and Rhea Ripley, later joined by JD McDonagh. “I think when I started getting comfortable with the Judgment Day,” he said. “We were getting along backstage, so we were getting along in ring, and we were getting along off camera. On camera, our chemistry was just… it clicked.” That chemistry gave him the confidence to realize he could “hang with the big dogs,” a realization that changed the trajectory of his career.
WWE management soon recognized his growth, entrusting him with high-profile matches against returning stars. Dominik recalled being the first opponent for CM Punk after his comeback, as well as facing Randy Orton in his return from injury. “Stuff like that made me notice they really started putting the trust in me,” he explained. These opportunities solidified his place as a reliable performer capable of delivering in marquee situations.
Dominik also pointed to his grueling schedule as proof of his commitment and rising stature. “I was doing NXT, Raw, SmackDown, and all the live events as well. So I feel like that really helped me and solidified me and gave the confidence that I’m in this, and I’m doing it.”
From faction support to headline matches, Dominik Mysterio credits The Judgment Day for helping him evolve into one of WWE’s most talked-about stars. His transformation underscores how chemistry, trust, and opportunity can elevate a performer from promising talent to cornerstone of the roster.
