FTR Confront Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat on AEW Dynamite – Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat made a special appearance on the November 12 episode of AEW Dynamite Blood and Guts in Greensboro, North Carolina, but what began as a nostalgic moment almost ended in chaos. The WWE Hall of Famer joined Tony Schiavone in the ring to celebrate Greensboro’s deep wrestling roots, only for FTR and Stokely Hathaway to interrupt and turn the segment confrontational.
Dax Harwood initially praised Steamboat, recalling that the legend had trained him more than a decade ago. However, his tone quickly shifted. Steamboat wasn’t convinced by the flattery and fired back, telling Harwood, “I never taught you that your attitude would go into the toilet.” He went on to add, “If Ric Flair and I had taken financial advice seriously, we wouldn’t have to be here tonight.”
The exchange escalated when Harwood demanded that Steamboat leave “his” ring, while Cash Wheeler mockingly held the ropes open for the veteran. Staying composed, Steamboat responded, “Discretion is the better part of valor,” acknowledging he was the bigger man before turning to leave. But before he could exit, FTR pulled him back, appearing ready to attack.
Before things could get physical, Brodido rushed to the ring to protect Steamboat, standing tall as the crowd erupted in support of the wrestling legend. The tense confrontation ended without violence, but it was a close call that nearly saw Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat taken down on live television.
