Steel Cage Stipulation Added to AEW Full Gear World Title Match Between Hangman Page and Samoa Joe – The AEW World Championship match between “Hangman” Adam Page and Samoa Joe at Full Gear just got even more intense, as the bout will now take place inside a steel cage. The stipulation was added during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite following a wild post-match brawl.
After defeating Powerhouse Hobbs, Page was blindsided by Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata. The ambush quickly escalated until the Blood & Guts cage began lowering from the rafters, creating a chaotic scene. Eddie Kingston and HOOK rushed out to make the save, forcing Joe and Shibata to retreat.
Once the ring was cleared, Page grabbed a microphone and addressed Joe directly, saying that if he really wanted him in a cage, he’d get exactly that — but without backup. Page told Joe to “leave Shibata at home” and face him one-on-one inside a steel cage at Full Gear. AEW President Tony Khan soon made the stipulation official, confirming the change to one of the night’s marquee matches.
AEW Full Gear takes place on November 22, 2025, from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The updated card for the event currently includes:
- Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall vs. RPG Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta)
- Max Caster and Anthony Bowens vs. TBA
- AEW Women’s World Championship: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Mercedes Moné
- AEW World Championship (Steel Cage Match): “Hangman” Adam Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe
- AEW World Tag Team Championships: Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) (c) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (with Stokely Hathaway)
- $1,000,000 Trios Match: Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express (“Jungle” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Josh Alexander
- Casino Gauntlet Match for the inaugural AEW National Championship: Participants TBA
- No Disqualification Match for AEW TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) (with Don Callis) vs. Mark Briscoe
With the AEW World Title now being defended inside a steel cage, Full Gear promises even more chaos and intensity when Page and Joe finally collide.
