11/14 SmackDown Delivers Surprises, Returns, and WarGames Developments – The November 14 episode of WWE SmackDown turned into one of the most eventful shows of the month, highlighted by a major return, WarGames updates, and growing tension across multiple divisions.
As noted earlier, Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona) made his surprise WWE return as LA Knight’s mystery opponent in the Last Time Is Now tournament. Ryder came out to his classic “Woo, Woo, Woo, You Know It” theme and fully embraced the persona he once carried before his 2020 release. Commentary acknowledged his rise and reinvention on the independent scene, with Corey Graves pointing out how much success Ryder found outside WWE. This marked his first WWE main roster match since March 2020. Despite a strong effort, Ryder fell short when Knight connected with the BFT to take the victory and move forward in the tournament.
Another major development came when Jimmy Uso revealed that he spoke with CM Punk, confirming that Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Jimmy will team together in WarGames at WWE Survivor Series. One more name is still to be added. The announcement echoed their involvement in the 2024 WarGames lineup with Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
Later in the show, Drew McIntyre officially joined the opposing WarGames team known as Vision, aligning with Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker. Although McIntyre had been suspended by Nick Aldis, Paul Heyman emphasized that he could still pick anyone on the SmackDown roster. McIntyre made his stance clear by helping Vision ambush Rhodes and The Usos before shaking Heyman’s hand to close the show. Both WarGames teams will add one more competitor in the coming weeks.
Sami Zayn also delivered important news, confirming he is medically cleared after a month on the sidelines. He confronted Solo Sikoa, who arrived with the MFTs—JC Mateo, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Talla Tonga. Zayn revealed he didn’t come alone. Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Fenix, and the Motor City Machine Guns joined him to fend off the group. After the chaos, Solo demanded a match with Zayn, but Aldis booked a five-on-five Survivor Series elimination match for the November 28 episode of SmackDown instead.
Another moment came when Charlotte Flair walked out on her supposed teammates. Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY opened the show by presenting their allies for WarGames, naming Alexa Bliss and Charlotte. While Bliss was on board and fired up after recent setbacks, Charlotte made it clear she would not stand with Ripley due to their long, complicated history. Her exit left Ripley, SKY, and Bliss stunned as they tried to regroup for the upcoming match.
