Raja Jackson Pleads Not Guilty to Charges Stemming from Attack on Syko Stu

Raja Jackson Pleads Not Guilty to Charges Stemming from Attack on Syko Stu – Raja Jackson, son of former UFC star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on Thursday to face charges connected to his August attack on independent wrestler Syko Stu.

During the hearing, Jackson entered a not guilty plea to one count of felony battery and one count of misdemeanor battery. The felony charge carries a potential sentence of up to seven years in prison if convicted, while the misdemeanor charge could add an additional six months. Prosecutors have also filed a sentencing enhancement, alleging Jackson caused “great bodily injury” to the victim.

The incident occurred on August 23 at a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles. What was initially believed to be part of a planned in-ring sequence quickly turned violent when Jackson began legitimately striking Stu — real name Stuart Smith — in the head multiple times. Witnesses reported that the assault left Stu bloodied and requiring hospitalization. Reports later indicated that the altercation may have been sparked by Stu hitting Jackson with a beer can backstage earlier that evening.

TMZ, which was present at Thursday’s hearing, described Jackson as wearing a black shirt, pants, and tie while entering the courthouse with his attorneys, noting that he remained silent when approached for comment. His next court appearance has been scheduled for November.

Following the attack, Jackson’s streaming account on Kick was permanently banned. Stu, a U.S. Army veteran, was released from the hospital at the end of August but continues to face a lengthy recovery process. A GoFundMe campaign launched to support his medical expenses has since raised over $220,000.
