APA Reunites For Surprise Appearance At Wildkat Sports Revolution Rumble

APA Reunites For Surprise Appearance – Ron Simmons and JBL brought an Attitude Era flashback to fans over the weekend when the APA reunited for an unannounced appearance at the Wildkat Sports Revolution Rumble event on Saturday. Their involvement came during an in-ring segment where the two confronted a tag team, leading to a short but lively exchange that echoed their classic WWE style.

The moment escalated when JBL grabbed a steel chair from one of the wrestlers. He passed it to Simmons and then dropped the other opponent with his trademark Clothesline from Hell. After the spot, JBL delivered a brief promo before the APA made their exit to a strong reaction from the crowd.

Simmons and JBL’s history as the Acolyte Protection Agency remains one of the standout acts of the late 90s and early 2000s. Known for their no-nonsense attitude and backstage “office” segments, the team captured multiple tag team championships before their partnership ended in 2004 when Simmons departed WWE. JBL later moved into a singles career that included a run as WWE Champion. The duo has continued to make occasional appearances together, including a cameo during the 2024 WWE Draft.

JBL entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020. Simmons recently earned another accolade with his induction into the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame, honoring his contributions to the 1976 Warner Robins Screamin’ Demons team.

JBL has remained visible in recent months, appearing across a number of promotions such as TNA Wrestling, GCW, and AAA. His current free-agent status keeps his schedule flexible while he continues to serve as an ambassador for WWE.
