According to a report from Bodyslam, internal expectations suggest that the two-night event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will feature a packed card.

Sources indicate that WWE is currently planning for at least fourteen matches across the two nights of WrestleMania 42. The event will take place on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026, and the company is still shaping the final card as the show approaches.
One source stated that the number of matches could increase depending on how the remaining storylines develop in the coming weeks.
“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that WrestleMania 42 will feature at least 14 matches over the 2 nights.”
Another source noted that the total number of bouts could end up being even higher. WWE reportedly has some flexibility this year due to scheduling adjustments, including an earlier start time that was recently announced for the event.
“Another source indicated that the card could have a solid 16 matches this year with the earlier start time that was announced recently.”
One of the most notable aspects of the reported plans involves the women’s division. WWE is said to be aiming for a significant presence for women’s matches during WrestleMania weekend.
Sources indicate that the company is currently planning at least six women’s matches across the two-night card. At least five of those matches are reportedly already considered firm plans internally, while additional bouts could still be added depending on storyline developments.
If WWE follows through with that approach, it would set a new record for the most women’s matches featured at a single WrestleMania event.
The specific matches being discussed have not yet been revealed publicly. However, the direction suggests that WWE intends to highlight the depth of its women’s roster and give several major storylines a spotlight on the biggest stage of the year.
