Rey Mysterio vs JD McDonagh Announced for Tonight’s RAW – WWE has confirmed a new match for tonight’s episode of RAW, announcing that Rey Mysterio will face JD McDonagh in singles action. The update was posted on WWE’s website earlier today, noting that the Hall of Famer will compete at 8e/5p on RAW on Netflix.
This marks Rey Mysterio’s first singles bout since returning from the torn groin injury he sustained in April. He made his official in-ring return last week on RAW, teaming with John Cena and Sheamus in a winning effort over JD McDonagh, Finn Bálor, and Dominik Mysterio. Tonight provides Rey with his first one-on-one opportunity since recovering, as he steps back into the ring against one of Judgment Day’s most active members.
RAW emanates from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, and WWE has continued to build a busy card heading into the show. Alongside Mysterio’s match, several key segments and tournament bouts have been confirmed. Roman Reigns is scheduled to open the broadcast, continuing the current storyline direction involving The Bloodline. The Men’s WarGames advantage match is also set for tonight, though the participants have not yet been announced.
Two quarterfinal matches in The Last Time is Now tournament are scheduled as well, with Gunther facing Carmelo Hayes and Solo Sikoa taking on Penta as the bracket moves toward determining John Cena’s opponent for his final match on December 13. Becky Lynch is also advertised to appear live, adding another major name to the broadcast. Dominik Mysterio is slated to address John Cena, continuing the ongoing tension surrounding the tournament and Cena’s farewell match.
Updated WWE RAW lineup for Monday, November 24:
- Roman Reigns kicks off the show
- Men’s WarGames advantage match (participants TBA)
- The Last Time is Now quarterfinals: Gunther vs Carmelo Hayes
- The Last Time is Now quarterfinals: Solo Sikoa vs Penta
