TNA Launches Investigation Into Masha Slamovich Following Domestic Abuse Allegations – TNA Wrestling has confirmed that Masha Slamovich is under internal investigation after serious allegations of domestic abuse surfaced on social media Tuesday. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the company released a statement addressing the situation, saying, “We take any allegations like this very seriously, and have begun an internal investigation.”
The allegations involve Slamovich’s past relationship with former MLW wrestler AKIRA. Earlier in the day, a friend of AKIRA shared a Dropbox link online that allegedly contained text messages between the two, along with photos showing injuries reportedly sustained by AKIRA. Later, AKIRA posted a message on social media in which he did not directly name Slamovich but described their relationship in painful detail. He revealed that during their time together, he attempted suicide on three separate occasions.
The fallout from these allegations has already impacted Slamovich’s wrestling schedule. Prestige Wrestling announced that she will no longer appear at their October 5 event, while West Coast Pro confirmed she has been pulled from their upcoming How The West Was Won show.
Slamovich has been a key member of the TNA roster since 2021. She captured the Knockouts Championship last year by defeating Jordynne Grace and has been a featured performer ever since. Through TNA’s working relationship with WWE, she also competed on NXT, most recently taking the pinfall in a three-way match against Jacy Jayne and winner Ash By Elegance at NXT Heatwave this past summer for the TNA Knockouts title.
As of now, TNA has not announced any disciplinary action, but the internal investigation is ongoing.
