Masha Slamovich Issues Statement on Abuse Allegations – TNA star Masha Slamovich has broken her silence following domestic abuse allegations made against her earlier this week. On Tuesday, TNA confirmed that it had opened an internal investigation after a friend of Slamovich’s former partner shared images on social media showing the alleged victim with bruises, along with screenshots of text messages accusing Slamovich of emotional abuse.
On Wednesday, Slamovich released a statement addressing the situation:
“Up until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship. We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve.
I take responsibility for my actions and I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of the role I played in our relationship and the way things turned out.
In the time since, I have sought help to reflect on this time and deal with conflict in more mature, healthier, and sustainable ways.
I apologize to those I let down, including my former partner. I hope he is able to heal.
This will be my only statement on the matter.
-Masha”
Slamovich was scheduled to challenge for the TNA Knockouts Championship this Friday at the Victory Road special on TNA Plus. While no formal announcement has been made regarding the match, TNA has removed the promotional article for the bout from its website.
In addition to the TNA investigation, Slamovich has been pulled from at least two independent bookings as fallout from the allegations continues. The promotion has not yet provided a timeline for the conclusion of its internal review.
