Tiffany Stratton Confirms She’s Physically Fine After Scary Moonsault Landing – WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has reassured fans about her health after a rough landing during her recent title defense against Jade Cargill on SmackDown. In a new interview with Going Ringside, Stratton confirmed she is “okay,” putting to rest the growing speculation that surrounded her status for upcoming events.
The concern began when Stratton performed her signature “Prettiest Moonsault Ever” and landed awkwardly, leading to immediate worry among viewers. NXT General Manager Ava later announced that Stratton was not medically cleared for the NXT Homecoming special, removing her from a planned six-woman tag team match. Around the same time, PWInsider reported that merchandise for Wrestlepalooza advertised a triple threat WWE Women’s Championship match featuring Stratton, Nia Jax, and Jade Cargill, fueling questions about her availability. WrestleVotes added that the match would only proceed if Stratton received medical clearance, furthering the uncertainty.
Speaking to Going Ringside, Stratton addressed the situation directly. “Physically, I’m okay. Obviously, on that moonsault, it was a little bit of a rough landing. However, I was fine. I think it was just more precautionary and kind of just monitoring and seeing if anything was bad about the fall,” she said. “But for the most part, I’m doing good. I’m great.”
WWE ultimately booked the triple threat match for SmackDown instead of Wrestlepalooza for storyline reasons. Last week, Nia Jax declared herself the “Alpha female” of WWE and took credit for Stratton’s brief “time out,” while dismissing Jade Cargill. Both Stratton and Cargill interrupted Jax, resulting in a heated standoff that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis broke up. Aldis then made the triple threat official for this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, where Stratton will defend her WWE Women’s Championship against both Jax and Cargill.
