Roman Reigns Nears WWE Return – Roman Reigns is expected to return to WWE programming soon, as his movie commitments are coming to an end.
Sources close to production confirmed that Reigns will finish filming his role in the upcoming Street Fighter movie this Thursday in Sydney, Australia. This clears his schedule, allowing WWE’s creative team to bring him back whenever they are ready.
Reigns is already featured on promotional material for WWE Crown Jewel, which takes place on October 11 in Perth, Australia. His inclusion on the event poster strongly suggests he will compete on the premium live event, marking his first match since late August.
The Tribal Chief has been absent from WWE television since Clash in Paris on August 31. That night, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed of The Vision brutally attacked him after his match, leaving him stretchered out of the arena. The assault served as the storyline reason for Reigns’ hiatus, which coincided with his filming schedule.
In the Street Fighter film, set for a theatrical release next year, Reigns will portray the powerful villain Akuma. His upcoming WWE return is expected to set the stage for a showdown with Breakker and Reed, as he seeks revenge for their attack in Paris.
Reigns remains one of the most dominant figures in WWE history. His record-breaking 1,316-day reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion saw him defeat top stars such as John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and Cody Rhodes, cementing his status as one of the company’s all-time greats.
