Briggs has been targeting Evans since the September 2 episode, when he mocked the WWE Universe by using The Undertaker’s signature gong and riding into the arena on a motorcycle. The mind games led to a singles clash on September 9, where Briggs scored a victory over Evans. With tempers flaring, both men are now set to settle the score at No Mercy.
Another major match confirmed is a Weaponized Cage Match between Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe. After Jordynne defeated Arianna Grace on NXT, Blake stormed the ring wielding a trash can and a cane, sparking a wild brawl. Security eventually separated the two, prompting acting GMs Stevie Turner and Robert Stone to make the high-stakes stipulation official for No Mercy.
Lainey Reed also secured her spot on the card by winning the WWE Speed Championship tournament. Reed defeated Candice LeRae in the tournament finals, finishing the match with a decisive knee to the face. LeRae earned her place in the finals with a victory over Xia Brookside, while Reed advanced by defeating Faby Apache. Reed will now challenge Sol Ruca for the WWE Speed Championship.
