NXT Ratings Rise While AEW Dynamite Hits Record Low in Viewership – NXT and AEW Dynamite’s most recent television ratings show a sharp contrast in momentum between the two programs this week.
The September 2 episode of WWE NXT on The CW Network drew 655,000 viewers, an increase from the 616,000 viewers the show attracted on August 28. In the key 18-49 demographic, NXT posted a 0.14 rating, up from the 0.12 rating from the previous week. The growth helped the show finish eighth overall on broadcast and cable for the night.

AEW Dynamite, which aired on September 3 on TBS, saw a significant drop in viewership. The show averaged 472,000 viewers, down from the 585,000 it drew on August 27. Dynamite also declined in the 18-49 demographic, scoring a 0.11 rating compared to the 0.13 rating last week. The figure represents the lowest non-preempted audience and demo rating in the show’s history. Despite the drop, Dynamite still ranked seventh among cable programs on Wednesday night.
The numbers highlight a growing gap between NXT and AEW in recent weeks, with WWE’s developmental brand showing steady improvement on its new network while AEW struggles to maintain consistent viewership. This week’s Dynamite result, in particular, marks a concerning milestone for AEW as it heads toward its upcoming pay-per-view events.
