WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Draws 1.425 Million Viewers, Tops Key Demo

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Draws 1.425 Million Viewers, Tops Key Demo – The July 12 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event delivered solid numbers for NBC, drawing 1.425 million viewers according to Programming Insider. The episode, which featured Goldberg’s highly anticipated retirement match against Gunther, also scored a 0.33 rating in the 18-49 demographic, finishing first for the night on television in that key demo.

While the program was simulcast on Peacock, no streaming viewership data for that platform has been made available at this time.

The first hour of the broadcast aired head-to-head with the final stretch of AEW All In: Texas, which ran for six hours that night in a deliberate move to counter-program WWE’s weekend offerings. Despite the overlap, WWE’s show held strong, thanks in large part to the heavy promotion of Goldberg’s final WWE appearance.

YouTube viewership numbers also show massive interest in Goldberg’s farewell. The Top 5 most-viewed videos from the event on WWE’s YouTube channel are as follows:

  1. Goldberg makes final iconic walk to a WWE ring1.5 million views
  2. Gunther vs. Goldberg | World Heavyweight Title Match1.2 million views
  3. Goldberg delivers farewell address1.1 million views
  4. Jacob Fatu stares down Talla Tonga752K views
  5. LA Knight vs. Seth Rollins616K views

The ratings show consistency with previous editions, though slightly down from the May special:

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Viewership History:

  • December 14, 2024: 1.59 million viewers / 0.42 demo
  • January 25, 2025: 1.499 million viewers / 0.33 demo
  • May 25, 2025: 1.969 million viewers / 0.54 demo
  • July 12, 2025: 1.425 million viewers / 0.33 demo

Despite not matching May’s near-2 million peak, the July edition held its own, benefiting from Goldberg’s send-off and strong card placement ahead of WWE Evolution. WWE’s weekend strategy of event-stacking clearly paid off, with both Saturday Night’s Main Event and Evolution generating strong buzz and high digital engagement.
