7/12 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12, from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The show kicked off with the traditional footage of Wrestlers arriving to work. Seth Rollins, LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Solo Siko, Jimmy Uso, Gunther and Goldberg were all shown heading into the area.
Jesse Ventura says Goldberg will have to battle his age and he has to win quick and early. He says the longer the match goes, the advantage goes to Gunther. Jesse says he knows Randy’s father and the apple don’t fall far from the tree. They are in for a war.
Randy Orton (with Jelly Roll) vs. Drew McIntyre (with Logan Paul)
Drew with a kick and punches. Drew punches Randy from the turnbuckles and Randy returns the favor. Randy clotheslines Drew over the top rope to the floor. Randy follows and he goes for a back drop driver onto the announce table but Drew blocks it and Drew with a back drop driver onto the table and he does a second one.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Randy with punches but Drew with an Irish whip. Drew with a boot to the head and he chops Randy. Randy isn’t impressed with the chops and Randy with a clothesline out of the corner on an Irisih whip by Drew. Randy with a second clothesline but Drew knows what is next and holds on to the ropes when Randy goes for the power slam. Drew with a head butt and then Randy hits the power slam. Randy with a back drop driver onto the announce table and he hits a second one. Randy hits a third one. Randy goes after Logan and Randy returns to Drew and Drew with a double thrust to the throat.
Randy with an IEDDT to Drew and he turns around and does the RKO push ups. Logan gets on the apron and Randy is distracted. Drew with a Claymore but Randy gets his foot on the rope to stop the count.
Logan and Jelly go face to face and Logan pushes Jelly. Jelly pushes Logan down.
Drew sees what is going on at ringside and Drew invites him into the ring to fight him. Jelly points at Drew and Drew sets for Future Shock but Randy with an RKO for the three count.
Winner: Randy Orton
After the match, Logan punches Randy and then he gets on top and punches Randy some more. Jelly thinks about what to do and he makes his way into the ring and he comes up behind Logan and sends him to the mat. Logan tries to punch Jelly but Jelly blocks it and he punches Logan.
Jelly checks on Randy and Drew hits Jelly with a Claymore. Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce come out and yell at Drew.
We go to commercial.
— We are back and Nick and Adam are yelling at Drew and Logan.
— We see some wrestlers in the crowd and when we see Jade Cargill, Naomi attacks her from behind. Naomi with a double sledge to the back. Officials pull Naomi off Jade but Jade with a forearm. Jade sends Naomi over the announce table. Naomi with a splash off the announce table onto Jade.
Jade gets in the ring and Naomi stands on the announce table. Nick says that is enough and he thought they could not wait until tomorrow night. He says he was going to talk to them before making the announcement. He announces the guest referee and it is Bianca Belair.
— We have a Bill Goldberg video package.
We go to commercial.
WWE United States Championship: Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jimmy Uso
Uso with punches and chops. Solo with a back elbow. Uso drops down and Solo goes over the top rope to the floor. Uso with a suicide dive but Uso hits the ringside barrier as well as making contact with Solo. Uso gets back into the ring before the House of Bloodline can do anything to him. Uso punches Solo as Solo returns to the ring. Uso is sent to the apron and he punches Solo and goes up top. Solo catches Uso and hits a uranage for a near fall. Uso with a punch and kick followed by a shoulder. Uso goes for a slingshot move and Solo with an uppercut. Tala with a clothesline.
We go to commercial.
We are back and they are on the apron and Solo sets for a suplex but Uso blocks it. Uso with a punch and Solo punches back. Solo pushes Uso into the rin gpost but Uso with a super kick. Uso with a waist lock and Solo blocks it for a moment but Uso hits the German suplex. Uso with a cross body for a near fall. Uso with a running hip and he goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Uso sets for a spear but Solo with a kick and he backs Uso into the turnbuckles and follows with a uranage. Solo sets for the Samoan Spike but Uso ducks and he hits a super kick. Uso with another super kick and he goes to the turnbuckles.
Solo rolls to the floor and Uso with a twisting swanton onto Solo, Mateo, and Loa. Tala misses a kick and Uso with a super kick. Uso kicks Tala but Solo with a rollup and Tala holds on for the three count.
Winner: Solo Sikoa
After the match, Tala kicks Uso. Loa and Mateo enter the ring and they attack Uso. They hold Uso and Solo sets for a Samoan Spike and hits it.
Jacob Fatu’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Fatu punches Mateo and Loa. Fatu with a super kick to Loa and a splash to Mateo. Fatu with a splash to Loa and running hips to both men. Fatu shakes in the ring and Tala gets on the apron. Tala enters the ring and he walks up to Fatu.
Fatu with punches and Tala with a boot to the head. Tala goes after Fatu but Fatu drops down and Tala goes over the top rope to the floor. Fatu with a suicide dive onto Tala and Solo. Fatu does an interpretive dance in the ring while Solo and his troops head to the back.
We go to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and Randy apologizes to Jelly Roll for having him out there. Cathy asks for a comment from Randy. Randy says he never should have had him out there with Drew and Logan. Jelly says he is a grown man and they have underestimated him. He wants them both anywhere or any time. Randy tells Cathy ‘SummerSlam’.
Seth Rollins vs. LA Knight
Knight backs Seth into the corner and Seth goes into the ropes. Seth wtih a shot to the ribs and he exchanges punches with Knight. Knight with a back elbow. Seth escapes a suplex when Knight’s ribs affect his ability to get Seth up. Seth is back dropped to the floor and Knight with a drop kick through the ropes. Knight sends Seth into the announce table many times. Knight with a clothesline off the table.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Seth with a body scissors. Knight escapes and punches Seth. Seth with a gut buster and he goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Knight punches Seth after blocking a punch and Knight with more punches. Seth with a shot to the midsection but he misses Black Out. Knight with a neck breaker. Knight with the double jump YEAHlbow from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Knight kicks Seth in the corner and he hits a running hip. Knight with a kick and Seth escapes a BFT attempt and he goes to the apron. Seth with a shoulder to Knight in the ropes and he goes up top but Knight with a punch.
Knight with a chop and he goes up for a superplex. Seth pushes him off and Knight leaps to the turnbuckles for a superplex attempt but Seth goes under and hits a buckle bomb. Seth misses Black OUt and Knight goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Knight cannot get Seth up. Seth with an elbow and a springboard senton but he misses a quebrada when Knight moves and Seth’s knee gives out. The referee holds Knight back and he talks to Paul.
The medical staff comes to check on Seth. Seth says something to the doctor while the referee is talking to Knight. Knight with a kick and BFT for the three count.
Winner: LA Knight
— We are back and the dream tag match is official for SummerSlam. Jelly Roll and Randy Orton face Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Goldberg’s Final Match: Gunther (c) vs. Goldberg
They lock up and go to a stalemate. Gunther wtih a kick and he tries for a shoulder but Goldberg stops Gunther. Gunther with a chop and he isn’t impressed and he smiles. Gunther with another chop and the same result. Goldberg with a clothesline. Goldberg with punches and a short arm clothesline. Goldberg sets for the jackhammer but Gunther escapes and he punches Goldberg. Gunther goes up top and Goldberg with a press slam. Goldberg sets for a spear and Gunther sees it coming and he goes to the floor. Goldberg follows Gunther to the floor and he kicks Gunther in the leg. Gunther with a kick and chops. Goldberg with punches and he goes for a spear but Gunther moves and Goldberg goes through the shoddily constructed ringside barrier.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Gunther works on the surgically repaired knee. Goldberg with an elbow and then they exchange chops. Gunther with a kick to the knee. Goldberg with jabs and a spinebuster. Goldberg with a kick and punches in the corner. Gunther with chops and Goldberg with punches. Gunther with a kick to the knee but Goldberg with a back body drop. Goldberg goes for a spear but Goldberg spears the referee when Gunther moves. Goldberg checks on the referee and Gunther kicks Goldberg in the back of the leg. Gunther kicks Goldberg in the back while he tries to take off the knee brace. Gunther hits Goldberg with the knee brace. Gunther hits Goldberg with the brace again. Gunther walks over to Bill’s son and he shows him the knee brace. Gunther pushes Bill’s son and he leaps over the ringside barrier and security holds him back.
Goldberg with a spear to Gunther and he signals for the jackhammer. Goldberg with the jackhammer and a new referee comes to the ring and he gets a near fall.
Gunther with a sleeper and body scissors. Goldberg tries to fight through the hold and he gets back to a seated position but he falls to the mat and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Gunther
We go to commercial.
We are back and Michael Cole is in the ring with Bill Goldberg and friends and family. Bill says he does not think he has ever lost in Atlanta before. He says he cannot thank you enough. The fans in Atlanta have been wonderful and he couldn’t have done it without you.
We go to credits but it looks like Goldberg didn’t end his speech.
