WWE Returning to Japan This October with Two “SuperShow Japan” Events – WWE has officially confirmed its long-anticipated return to Japan with two live “WWE SuperShow Japan” events set for October at the historic Ryōgoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo.
The company will run back-to-back shows on Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18. Only stars from the Monday Night RAW roster are being promoted for the tour, as the first night in Tokyo will coincide with a live episode of SmackDown taking place in San Jose, California. This makes it a RAW-exclusive tour.
Names currently advertised for the events include World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, AJ Styles, IYO SKY, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, Jey Uso, Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh, Sami Zayn, and The New Day. The lineup features a mix of top-tier international talent and several Japanese-born WWE Superstars, which is expected to draw significant attention from local fans.
These shows mark WWE’s first return to Japan since July 2024. Tickets for both nights will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Saturday, August 30.
The announcement comes just days ahead of SummerSlam, where many of the advertised stars are scheduled for high-stakes matches. GUNTHER will defend the World Heavyweight Title against CM Punk, AJ Styles will face Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship, and Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY are set to compete in a triple threat match for the Women’s World Championship.
WWE’s return to Japan continues its effort to expand international touring while spotlighting its global roster.
