Will Ospreay Expected to Take Time Off – Will Ospreay is reportedly taking a brief hiatus from AEW following his high-impact weekend at All In: Texas.
According to Fightful Select, Ospreay is said to be “banged up” after a physically demanding slate of appearances during the weekend’s major event. Sean Ross Sapp noted in his report that Ospreay is “expected to take some time off,” with sources indicating his absence could last roughly a month. No specific return date has been set.
Ospreay played a major role throughout All In: Texas, first teaming with Swerve Strickland in a marquee tag match against The Young Bucks. Their victory not only added a significant win to Ospreay’s AEW resume but also led to The Bucks being stripped of their EVP status—an angle that shook up AEW’s power dynamics both onscreen and behind the scenes.
Later in the show, Ospreay made a surprise return during the chaotic Texas Death Match main event. He joined forces with “Hangman” Adam Page in an all-out brawl against The Death Riders. However, the moment ended brutally, with Ospreay being attacked and stretchered out by the faction.
Given his physical style and the toll of competing in high-profile matches, Ospreay’s brief break is not unexpected. While fans will miss his presence on AEW programming in the coming weeks, the time off should allow him to recover and reset ahead of what promises to be another pivotal stretch in his AEW run.
