Join us as we explore the remaining events that are yet to come in August and beyond. The fall season is already planned out, and there are many TBA dates to be announced in the meantime.

Mind that professional wrestling, although scripted and not really a sport like football or basketball, is very popular among the bettors as of late. If you are a fan of the matches and want to improve your viewing experiences, why not try placing some bets in the upcoming August slate of events? Place your picks for the next big fight, and you will have a much deeper and engaging experience while watching the stories and fights unravel.

WWE SummerSlam-August 2-3

The biggest summer event, the iconic SummerSlam, is scheduled for the very beginning of August and will happen on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3. The venue is the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It is headlined by the Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship between the current Champion, John Cena, and Cody Rhodes. It will be Cena’s retirement fight and the last in ring appearance in his storied career. Prepare for an instant classic, folks.

There is also the WWE Women’s Championship Match with the challenger Jade Cargill going up against champion Tiffany Stratton. Randy Roton & Jelly Roll team up against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. Then there is the Triple Threat Match for the Women’s World Championship when Naomi, Ivo Sky, and Rhea Ripley go at each other. Becky Lynch fights Lyra Valkyria for the Intercontinental Championship, and Gunther goes up against CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE NXT Heatwave-August 24

At the Lower Memorial Auditorium in Massachusetts, on Sunday, August 24, the next Heatwave PPV event takes place. WWE is yet to announce any official matches for this card. The promotional poster features Jaida Parker, Sol Ruca, Ricky Saints, Oba Femi, and Blake Monroe. All of this is subject to change, of course, as the 11th Heatwave event will be the first to solely use the WWE logo and be broadcast on Netflix. WWE Clash in Paris-August 31

On the final day of the month, the promotion hits the French capital, the city of lights, love, and fashion. It is not the first city one imagines when pro wrestling is mentioned, but that is just the thing that makes it interesting. It will be held at the Paris La Défense Arena and feature a wide slew of wrestlers. As of yet, it has not been reported who will fight who and what storylines will be included, but expect a ton of fun. It will be held for the wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown divisions, and mark the second PPV and livestreaming event in France. Superstars who have been teased for the event include John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley, Gunther, and Tiffany Stratton.

Events in September and Beyond

NXT No Mercy is not confirmed yet, but it is assumed to take place sometime in September. Similarly, in October, there should be an NXT Halloween Havoc. On October 11, we get the Crown Jewel at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. On November 29, at Petco Park, San Diego, California, the fans can see the Survivor Series: WarGames. TBA in December, there will be an NXT Deadline event, and towards the end of the year, a Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI (41). So far, those are the confirmed or nearly confirmed events in the fall season, which should continue the exciting storylines from the summer and reveal what is next before 2026 rolls in. And the new year will, of course, bring the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania in the spring season.

What were the Biggest WWE Events in History?

WrestleMania III (1987-Pontiac Silverdome)

This event is remembered as a landmark moment in WWE and pop culture history. Drawing a reported crowd of over 93,000 fans, it set a record for indoor attendance at the time. The main event featured Hulk Hogan defending the WWF Championship against André the Giant. The match itself was not technically remarkable, but the visual of Hogan body slamming the 520-pound André is one of the most iconic images in wrestling. WrestleMania III solidified the then WWF as the dominant force in professional wrestling and proved that wrestling could draw massive mainstream audiences. Rest in peace, Hulk Hogan

WrestleMania X-Seven (2001-Houston Astrodome)

Often considered the greatest WrestleMania ever, this event marked the end of the Attitude Era at its peak. The main event between The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin ended with one of the most shocking heel turns in history. Austin joined forces with longtime enemy Vince McMahon to win the WWE Championship. The card was stacked with classics, including the brutal Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) match between Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz, and The Dudley Boyz. The night perfectly captured the energy, drama, and unpredictability that defined early-2000s WWE, arguably the greatest era.

The Montreal Screwjob-Survivor Series 1997

This controversial moment occurred during a championship match between Bret “The Hitman” Hart and Shawn Michaels in Montreal. Bret was set to leave WWE for WCW, and real life tensions were high. In a now infamous move, Vince McMahon changed the match finish without telling Bret. He instructed the referee to call for the bell while Michaels had Bret in the Sharpshooter, even though Bret had not tapped. This real life betrayal blurred the lines between fiction and reality and forever changed how fans perceived the business. It also birthed the on screen “Mr. McMahon” character, which would become a central figure during the Attitude Era and remain a pop culture and internet meme.

WrestleMania XXX (2014-New Orleans)

This event featured two unforgettable moments that symbolized both the end and beginning of eras. The first was The Undertaker’s shocking loss to Brock Lesnar, ending his legendary 21-0 WrestleMania streak, something fans never thought they would witness. The second was Daniel Bryan’s underdog triumph as he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event after defeating Triple H earlier in the night. The “Yes Movement” storyline had organically captured the hearts of fans, and this victory was a genuine emotional payoff that remains one of the most cathartic in WWE history.

5. The First Money in the Bank (2011-Chicago)

This event is remembered for CM Punk’s electrifying performance and the white hot Chicago crowd. In the main event, Punk faced John Cena for the WWE Championship on the night his contract was set to expire. Against all odds, Punk won and then fled through the crowd with the title, in a brilliant mix of storyline and real life tension. This match, along with Punk’s now famous “Pipebomb” promo a few weeks earlier, reinvigorated fan interest and brought a new edge to WWE storytelling. It was a defining moment of the PG Era and one of the best matches of the 2010s.
