Tony Khan Open to Expanding AEW TV With Possible Third Show – AEW President Tony Khan is keeping the door open for expanding the company’s weekly television slate. In a new interview with WFAA, Khan acknowledged that adding a third AEW show remains a viable possibility, depending on how the promotion’s current programming continues to perform.
“There’s always potential to expand the AEW programming calendar,” Khan said. “Right now, things have worked really well with Dynamite and Collision. As we’re having a great year, it’s always something to consider.”
AEW currently airs Dynamite on Wednesdays and Collision on Saturdays, both of which have become foundational pillars for the company’s storytelling and talent rotation. However, fans will remember that AEW once had a third weekly show — Rampage — which premiered in 2021 but was discontinued in 2024 as part of a new media rights agreement.
The storyline explanation for Rampage’s cancellation involved Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, though the real reason stemmed from reshuffling in AEW’s broadcast strategy. Since then, rumors had circulated about a new program called AEW Shockwave, but talk around that concept has largely disappeared.
Khan’s remarks come amid broader discussions about AEW’s future direction, including the ongoing development of Ring of Honor. During the same interview, he reaffirmed that a potential rebrand of ROH under the AEW umbrella is still being considered, though both companies remain structurally distinct for now.
While nothing is officially in motion regarding a third show, Khan’s willingness to entertain the idea signals that AEW’s programming could evolve again, particularly as the company continues to grow in reach and revenue.
