Isla Dawn Expected to Join AEW – Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn is reportedly on her way to All Elite Wrestling. According to WrestleVotes, AEW has expressed significant interest in the former NXT UK standout and is expected to bring her into the fold very soon. The report adds that Dawn was recently backstage at an AEW television taping, signaling that her debut could be imminent.
Dawn, 31, was released from her WWE contract in February after a seven-year run with the company. Best known for her work in NXT UK, she later transitioned to NXT and the main roster, forming the dark-themed tag team “The Unholy Union” with Alba Fyre. The duo held both the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships before Dawn’s unexpected release earlier this year.
WrestleVotes noted, “We have learned through sources that AEW is heavily interested in recently released talent, Isla Dawn… the expectation is that she will begin working AEW shows in the very near future.”
The move would allow Dawn to reset her career and potentially revamp her character in a new environment. Her occult-inspired persona and storytelling style were distinct highlights during her WWE run, and AEW’s women’s division, which continues to evolve, could provide fertile ground for creative reinvention.
If she signs, Dawn would join a growing list of former WWE stars who’ve transitioned successfully to AEW, including Toni Storm, Ruby Soho, and Saraya. Storm currently holds the AEW Women’s World Championship, and her rise within AEW suggests that Dawn could follow a similar trajectory if given the right spotlight.
