Seth Rollins Expected to Attend WWE RAW Tonight – Seth Rollins’ status remains uncertain following his appearance on crutches backstage at WWE Evolution on July 13, and concerns are growing about the severity of his latest knee injury. According to a new report from PWInsider, Rollins is scheduled to undergo an MRI today in Birmingham, Alabama to assess the extent of the damage.
During the WWE Evolution post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H confirmed that Rollins would receive medical testing today. Despite the injury, Rollins is still expected to be present for WWE RAW tonight. However, sources within WWE have expressed serious concern that the injury may be significant, particularly given Rollins’ medical history.
Rollins previously suffered a major injury to the same right knee in 2015, tearing his ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus. That injury required reconstructive surgery and forced him to miss WrestleMania 32. The fact that this new injury affects the same knee has raised further alarm among WWE officials and fans alike.
The incident reportedly occurred during Rollins’ match with LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. While early speculation suggested this could be part of a storyline, multiple sources—including PWInsider—have firmly denied that narrative. The report states the injury is legitimate and not a planned angle.
Wrestling journalist John Pollock had previously mentioned hearing about a possible injury-related storyline heading into the weekend, and Bryan Alvarez added that one source believed Rollins may have already been hurt before the match, with the angle used to explain his absence moving forward. Still, there’s now confirmation that the injury is real, and WWE is awaiting official MRI results.
With SummerSlam less than a month away, Rollins’ availability for the event will largely hinge on today’s medical evaluation. Until then, fans and officials alike will be watching closely for any word on his condition during tonight’s episode of RAW.
